Product Description

The Modern Product's line of seasoning products began almost 100 years ago based on discoveries made by Gayelord Hauser. Through his work as a nutritionist, Hauser realized people were missing the nutritional benefits of the mineral iodine in their daily diets but wanted to deliver the benefits without simply increasing table salt intake.

Hauser utilized kelp (a seaweed that is a natural source of iodine), with other natural ingredients to provide the best balance of health, nutrition, and flavor for the perfect seasoning. This low sodium seasoning also includes fenugreek powder, an herb known for maintaining cholesterol levels and relieving heartburn or acid reflux discomfort. Spike’s full line of gourmet natural seasonings continued with this same goal. Tasty variations are available to meet the need for low sodium and no-sodium alternatives.

Original Magic is known for its unique use of 39 herbs, spices, and vegetables resulting in a flavorful salt alternative that brings out the flavors of foods in a healthful way without chemicals, preservatives, MSG, or fillers.
