The Flip Litter Box provides easy access for scooping and cleaning, while offering a spacious interior and three lid positions to satisfy any cat's preference. Choose between fully open, half-open or completely closed for privacy. The top-mounted lid gives Flip a tall, seamless base, which houses a reusable tarp liner for an easy, mess-free litter solution. The Flip Tarp Liners last up to 3 months depending on how many cats use the litter box, how much litter is used, and how ferociously they scratch. We recommend replacing the reusable liner when there are signs of fraying, tearing or excessive odor. Flip's minimalist design will complement any environment. As seen on Animal Planet's "My Cat from Hell." Box dimensions: 20" long x 15" wide x 16.75" tall; Entry opening is 8.5" wide x 9” tall. Liner dimensions: 19” Long x 14” wide x 14” tall.

Ours is a four-cat household and ranges from cats who like to dig deep and fling litter everywhere, to cats who hate using a box at all, to cats who like to back all the way up and pee on the back wall (or a combination of those three). I loathe traditional lidded boxes, especially scooping/cleaning them, and I hate plastic litter liners where the cats just scratch holes in the bottom and all the litter leaks through the bottom. The best of all worlds for me was going to be a box that had a lid (to keep the litter-flinging down to a dull roar and so I wouldn't have to stare at my cat's toilet), but that had plenty of room for them to stand and turn around comfortably, that wasn't going to hold in odors, and that wasn't fugly. Oh, and that was super easy to clean.
I never spend this much on something like a litter box but I ordered one out of desperation, and after a few months of using it, loved it so much I ordered another one. I've found both of them to be quite sturdy. The cardboard liners do soak up only just so much urine if you don't put enough litter in them, but I learned my lesson about that even with the old litter boxes (if you put enough litter in, the urine will clump before it hits the bottom of the box, thus allowing you to scoop more easily and not hold odor at the bottom of the box). The cardboard liners are a bit challenging to get out of the Flip box once the litter is in them (grab by the corners, fold in a bit, then lift), but it's not difficult once you figure that bit out. I always spray the box itself with some Nature's Miracle and let it sit a bit to clean it if the urine does soak through the liner a bit (and because it uses a liner, you're not getting the box itself scratched up, which holds bacteria that is harder to clean out). Once I did have a liner get soggy enough to collapse in one section, because I let the litter amount get low (and with multiple cats, that means a lot of urine going straight to the cardboard).
I adore the way the top flips up and down. It seems like such a small thing but it's made my life so much easier. And the design is really nice, it sort of blends into the background rather than screaming to every guest that comes over, "HEY LOOK A LITTER BOX MY CAT POOPS IN HERE" (I still have a traditional box left and that one definitely DOES scream that).
It's also really nice with the Katch litter mat (also from Modko) - the mat is just the right size to fit under the Flip and because it's a sort of plasticky rubbery material it's easy to dump litter off of it, or wash it.
Anyway, I'm pretty cheap, so the fact that I went "please take another $120 of my money for a cat toilet" is testament to how much I love these things.
Edit 8/15/14: Modko says they are working on a reusable liner for the Flip!
Edit 9/3/2016: Modko did roll out the reusable liners a while back, and I got one for each box. Makes cleaning a cinch.
