Crafted from tropical mahogany solids and a variety of beautiful veneers, the Nevis collection features solid wood drawer boxes with English dovetail joints on both front and back, full extension ball bearing drawer glides, and are corner blocked to ensure rigidity, making them as functional as they are sleek. The wide variety of pieces are enhanced by an elaborate American finishing process in either a rich Spice or a deep, dark Espresso, both complimented by brushed chrome hardware. Together with a vast array of contemporary platform, low profile and sleigh bed styles, the Nevis collection blends the sleek and exotic with the functional.

After contacting Cymax I was VERY impressed with their service. They asked for a pics of the damage and then immediately had Modus send us some new siderails. When the new siderails arrived they, to, were damaged. This time worse than before. There was a 2" gouge in one rail that was painted or markered over at the factory. Let me be clear-this was not damaged during shipping or it would not have been covered up. This was noticed at the Modus factory and they still shipped it out. Very poor quality control. There was also, still, no packaging around the wood-just a layer of cardboard and the wood rails even rub against eachother inside the box. I contacted Cymax again and, again, they were quick to help out. They even offered us a discount for the trouble. They had a number of conversations with Modus furniture and had another set of rails sent to us with the Modus's assurance they would be packaged better. Well the third set arrived and, again, had more dings-although this time not nearly as bad. After contacting Cymax they offer to try and send more or refund the bed. We chose to just keep what we had and get the refund as it appears Modus is incapable of packaging these properly.
I give Modus furniture only 2 stars at this point, but Cymax gets a 5 in my book for their excellent customer service and attention to the concerns of the customer.
The set up was simple -- my 9 year old and I did it together in about an hour -- only because I didn't want to wait for my husband to come home!!! I would suggest that you read the directions all the way through first to make sure you understand them -- they were very vague but certainly understandable if you take the time to "digest" them.
I had read from other reviewers that they suggested to put an extra support down the middle slat. I didn't realize until reading another person's review that the feet on the center supports are adjustable. Many people "complained" that the feet didn't touch the floor which is true but there is a remedy -- I wish the directions had stated that!
It came with no instructions... No problem, i figured out how to put it together...
During assembly, 2 of the threaded collets that the bed sides connect to fell out... This is when i realized that the purdy wood was a laminate over some very soft wood...
No, problem, I drilled out the hole and ran a big lag bolt through it... Solid as a rock...
My girlfriend gets on the bed... CRACK!!! one of the slats breaks, on closer inspection, it was a very soft piece of wood and it cracked on the knot... No problem... Some glue and some wood strips screwed to the top and bottom, fixed...
Then, we felt frisky... 2 minutes in, the sound of jumbling wood grinds us to a halt... I look under the bed, 2 of the central legs have ripped themselves off of their bolts...
Whipped out the box of 3" wood screws... fixed...
long story short, this bed is very cheap... i never thought i'd say this, but i'm tired of screwing on that bed... er... You know what i mean... Look elsewhere...
