This is a story of a man named Harvard Wilcox, a man who oscillates between being more and being less awful than the dystopia surrounding him. He's a man with no memory, no memory of why he has no memory, and a puzzle to solve. He's a man with a gun, a delightfully wry sense of humor, and no discernible sense of self-preservation.

Thought this witty, fast-paced tale, Jonathan Ems slaps us sideways with societal issues while forcing us to turn the page with his fun, page-turning writing style. I read it, and I strongly suggest you do, too.

A great, fast paced, easy read book, that had me laughing out loud, and falling in love with the characters. Set in a possible futuristic world, Harvard Wilcox is a right fool, or a very clever man- and you honestly aren't sure which till the very end! Great commentary on society overall and just a fun read! Looked at his other book- Obviously I Anticipated This- a collection of writings- which was a great series that covers everything from sex, to politics, to family, to self reflection.... Looking forward to see what comes next!

An interesting book, that kept me reading so I could find out what had happened,
and what was going to happen to the main character. It was a bit
tongue-in-cheek and humorous at times.

I liked this. Short and sweet without a lot of unnecessary goings-on. Quite clever in places; both the science and the sociology were interesting and believable. The characters were entertaining. There were a handful of what I would call 'editing errors' in the kindle version that pulled me out a bit, but there's nothing wrong with the story. Great concept, well executed, definitely worth the read.
