The squared paper is really nice, and light enough to not be a bother when writing or pops out and makes everything too much to read.
The paper is a nice cream color. which is really easy on the eyes. Depending on your pen/marker, of course, it doesn't seem to bleed through the other side of the paper, which is a D-R-E-A-M! I wrote August in with a prismacolor marker and THAT bleed through, but those are really art markers that require thicker paper, so there's that. I posted photos of the backsides of some pages to show you :) The second to last is that back of 005 prismacolor art pens, muji pens, and pilot 05 pen :)
The quality of the binding is really swell, really durable and the expandable pocket is great for note cards or things of the sort, I haven't tried cramming anything in there, but I'll test that out later.
The band that wraps around the book is great too, its not too stretchy, doesn't feel like it would stretch out and fall off, yet at the same time just enough give to enclose the book. Lovely!
My favorite thing about it is the edges are evenly seamed along with the size of the paper, check out my photos to get my meaning.
I bought my boyfriend a white ruled journal, also from the classic collection, and the covers jut out just a bit longer than the pages themselves.
Overall, just buy it already!!!!! :)
I also keep notes in a text program on my computer, but you know, you can't star things or circle them or underline things three times on the computer (at least not easily) and I can do all that on paper. I love these neat little Moleskin notebooks, they make it seem like I'm writing something more important than I really am.
These grid style page Moleskin notebooks are harder to find than the blank or ruled ones. I'm glad I was able find this two pack on Amazon. I'll be ordering again when I need more.
TL:DR This is a great squared notebook for accounting or budgeting with a secure elastic strap and ribbon page marker.
I have bought multiple Moleskines and for good reason, they are a quality product. I bought this notebook for my notes in my Ordinary Diff. and Linear Algebra class because of the quality of the paper as well as the square lines. I am able to keep all my notes, my graphs and all my equations neatly organized because of the nice grid the squares make. The paper is easy to erase on, making it great for notes, sketching, and brainstorming.
The book mark helps you quickly navigate the book. The elastic closure with the cardboard covers protects your paper much better than a soft cover will even if it has an elastic closure because it stays closed better and the paper is protected by an offset of cardboard (see pictures) The envelope inside the back cover is great for loose leaf items that you consistently use with the notebook, like a strait edge or a list of guidelines.
I love this notebook and plan to buy again when this one fills up and for friends and family.
These are the nicest notebooks I have ever used. I take this everywhere and haven't seen it get messed up or look used yet. I am addicted to this and it is an awesome price.
However, I was disappointed that it didn't hold up. If you use this as a notebook and expect to shoved in and our of a bag, you want to know it holds up. That is why I got a hard cover. I love the feel of writing in it in as a bulletjournal' and I like the fact I can use the squared format, I wish it would have held up better. I was quarter of a way through it when the corners began to tear, about half way through it when the notebook disconnected from the spine, and ended up having to move to a new one once I got 80% of the way through because pages were falling out.
I'm in the market for a better bound book in the same size with the squared pages.
