I started a bullet style journal for day to day tracking of expenses, things to do, & projects. I started with a $.99 composition style notebook but it fell apart in about 3 months. Forked out $15 for this guy & it's been well worth it. It's smaller, more grid lines, same efficiency, & it's more durable.
So far, I'm using two of these simultaneously & find them to be perfect for my day to day use. I saw some of the complaints about (1) dark grid lines, (2) being unusable, & (3) ink running through the paper. Well...
1) Dark grid lines...I don't see them being dark at all BUT if I was using a pencil rather than a pen it might be a little annoying. My composition notebooks I was using have much darker lines. From what I've the grid lines on the moleskin are very reasonable comparable to other notebooks out there.
2) Being unusable...It's a notebook. I've had dozens of different ones over the years. Some may be less desirable than others but I've never had one be unusable. Sounds like someone bought the wrong one for their needs.
3) For ball point pens this isn't an issue. Fountain pens I can see it as I used a sharpie on the spine to indicate which book is for what & the ink ran more than I was expecting. I also used a highlighter occasionally & the color bled through very lightly. Not a huge problem for me but could be for some.
Overall, the size, grids, rigidity, & overall every day carry ability is an A+. I'm very happy & doubt I'll be switching brands unless my needs change or the quality takes a harsh turn.
