However, like the previous reviewer said, I miss the box monthly layout in the beginning. It was enough room to put multiple events that were coming up in advance. Now there are just lines and the layout is vertical. There is really only space for one event.
If Moleskine went back to the block format month view, I would give this 5 stars.
Otherwise, once you get into the weekly pages, the planner has all the usefulness and flexibility I've come to expect. It's well made and I love the little stickers that came with it. But I wish they had made it a few pages longer so that we could have a proper monthly overview. I'm also not sure that the larger planner gives you much added space for writing. My other quibble is that I wish there were a few pages for addresses. But this is still a nice, solid, flexible planner - not to say really, really cute!
This planner with the Peanuts cover is what they call "large". If you fold a piece of 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper in half, the planner is just a little smaller than the sheet when it is folded.
The planner paper is thin and a creamy off white. You will see any writing, even pencil, through the back side of the page. If this sort of thing bothers you, you may not like this planner.
The front of the book has a page for personal data, a year at a glance calendar of 2013 and 2014, six pages of the year 2013 divided into columns with two dates per line and a small space to jot a note. There are four months per spread.
This is followed by two pages of International Holidays, then another breakdown of the day by day, calendar of the year 2014 in six pages as described earlier. I find this handy to create plans, to be able to see many days at a glance.
Two pages are devoted to memos for travel itinerary, then two pages for a world time zone map, two pages for flight durations, two pages for international dialing codes, two pages for measures, conversions and sizes of clothing and then it finally gets into the actual weekly planner.
On the left side of the spread, the dates appear, one week at a time. On the facing page, it's a plain lined page for notes.
There are a few plain, lined pages at the back of the book.
And it comes with two small sheets of Peanuts stickers.
