From the Editor

I've always lived for the Happily Ever After. When I was younger, I had stacks of dog-eared romances that I would hide behind my more age-appropriate Baby-sitters Club books. As I grew older, I demanded more from stories than just beautiful protagonists and a tearful "I do" at the end. I wanted realism. I wanted imperfect characters I could identify with. I wanted family drama—the funnier, the better! And I still wanted that undeniable, toe-curling chemistry and a story that kept me enthralled the entire way through.

From the Moment We Met meets—and exceeds—all my requirements. The first time I read the manuscript, I canceled lunch plans so I could hole up and keep reading—simply because I needed to find out what was going to happen to fiery Abby, a recently single designer, and the well-muscled, sexy Tanner, an ex-NFL player. The fact that they had previously dated and that Abby swore she would never go out with him again was something I could identify with, but despite my own experiences, Tanner crept his way into my heart. Their push and pull was so electric that I was unable to tear myself away until the last page. I knew I wanted to be Abby's friend, and, frankly, Tanner just swept me off my feet.

Whether it's the Happily Ever After or the bumpy road leading up to it that you enjoy, From the Moment We Met delivers. And since I no longer need to hide my romance novels—in fact, I get to display them proudly—I can kick back, pour a glass of wine, and revisit the wonderful people who live in the charming small town of St. Helena, where the vineyards are plentiful and the romance is as full-bodied and spicy as the drink in my hand.

The beginning of the book was a bit confusing because I hadn't read any of the other books in the series. There was a lot of names and it was a bit difficult to keep track of who was who (like the hero's name was Jack but he was called Tanner by almost everyone except the heroine). In the end though I thought it was a really cute book. I enjoyed the description of Abby's work and how Jack won't give up on loving her. I'd definitely read more of this author.

Ugh. How was this a Kindle First pick? Like another reviewer said, this is slow and stupid. The heroine is a dim bulb pushover and the whole plot is badly contrived. I gave up about a third of the way through, when the grandmother showed up. I could no longer take the inanity of it all.

From the moment we met by Marina Adair, Welcomes you back to the DeLuca family and into all of their lives - as if you are almost a member yourself. Full immersion reading. And I don't mean the immersion reading Amazon offers, I mean that you truly become engaged and lost in the richly detailed, vividly painted characters, the adorable town of St. Helena and really wish there was a place like this (and the people) you could become apart of as well.

Adair continues her wonderfully descriptive writing, inviting you into the world of this families love, business, friends, troubles, humor, evolution and more...so much more. Adair knocks another one out of the park with her ability to blend a love story with charm, true humor, sassy and individual characters. In fact, her characterization is one of her strongest writing attributes.

This book focuses on the DeLuca Darling - Abigail, the only sister in a large Italian wine making family full of brothers who insist on protecting her to suffocation after a marriage gone bad. We are once again in the engaging world of St. Helena, where everyone is a character and their lives all intertwine in complimentary (and often meddlesome and humorous) ways. This time, Abby is the one whose life (love, work, friends, past, family and more) are front and center. Will she conquer her past, find happiness in love, finally be able to stand on her own two feet despite her brothers intentions, establish her career? While those questions are pretty standard in similar books, the journey to find out the answers are anything but standard. This delightfully told tale blends humor, sexiness, love, family, friendship and life in a way that sets this tale apart from the many other books available with like minded plots.

This is the first book I've ready by Marina Adair. I loved the humor thoughout the book. (She looked four thousand years old and as friendly as a porcupine) The book had just the right mix of humor and sexy scenes. Jack Tanner was definitely hot! I've already purchased the 1st book in the series so I can read it from the beginning. Truly an enjoyable read and a must read author.

I cannot understand how anyone enjoyed this book?
First off there was there was the continuous language problem this started at the beginning and continued throughout the book.
As if that was not enough Abby and Tanner could not talk enough about each others particular body parts, and how much they wanted to have sex, but then on the other hand Abby just could not trust Tanner because he tool some blond to the prom in high school yet.
In the meantime her soon to be ex husband sends a marble statue of himself to Abby, oh yea, the statute is naked of course and is deposited on Abby's front lawn it took a couple of men to put it there but she has to wait a week to have it removed because it is so big they need a crane to remove it. Now here's the kicker Abby who really wanted to find her husband so they could finalize the divorce finds out she has been a widow for two years!
So the whole book is nothing but crude language, and talk about sex,and body parts who likes what parts and I quit reading because I don't care about anyone's body parts I would have loved to read a sweet love story but I could not find one.
No I would not recommend this book.

This is the first book in the St. Helena Vineyard series that I have read. It is also the first of Marina Adair that I have been introduced to as well.

Overall this is a very like able story. At first I had a bit of a hard time remembering which brother was with which girl-but then again at times I am not the best in remembering names or couples.

Abby is haunted by past actions of her husband and her town is hard to forgive and forget the things that he had done to them. In the meantime Abby is trying to get her design company going and well known. Abby has done the designs on her family wine caves which, people just love the look of them. However, no one wants to hire her because of her former husband.

A chance comes up for Abby to land the job with Babs in designing a premiere wine and cheese shop from a historical bottling plant. Abby has to really struggle and prove that she is the perfect person for this job even though everyone else is calling this job similar to the titanic. Abby brothers, who do love her completely and know that she will be excellent have a habit of trying to protect her and keep her from getting hurt.

Jack 'hard hammer' Tanner is a guy that Abby fell for hard when she was in high school. He has broken her heart a few times throughout the years. Jack knows that Abby would be great for this project and he knows that he wants Abby for himself as well. Abby also still has feelings for Jack.

This story does talk about sex so it is not for the light at heart and there is some swearing in it as well. This story has some laughs and times where you just shake your head and others where you have a big smile on your face. Jack and Abby need to work together to see if they can get this project done in time.
