TobyMac is an awesome artist, I went to see him in Orlando Fl and the presentation was Incredible!!!. Many of the songs on that show were from this album. For those who like Urban, Electronica, Rock and any other extreme expressive music, this is a real deal. TobyMac started with DC Talk but his solo approach is more aggressive than then. As Welcome To Diversity City is kind of strange at first, but it will captivate you soon enough to listen to the entire album... Grasp you in a Momentum with the lyrics, it might sound like any other urban/rock band but the messages are really good, real life problems and solutions, keep you focus in the truth, there's always a way out to any problem, specially with the song Irene. Really powerful. J Train is really contagious urban style. Momentum, the main theme, is really strange, not the best of the album, is good though. Yours, now we talking, amazing performance, sound and mastering. If Wonderin' Why doesn't make you dance, your hard. Of course, the one of the best songs on the album Somebody's Watching, very catchy, a redone version from a DC Talk's. The song that makes me buy it Extreme Days - WOW! -. 70's style Don't Bring Me Down, sound really Old School. In The Air, DC Talk's Talk :). Downside? Too many small inter mediums. Because of this I might give it a 4 star.

For those of you who started liking DC Talk back when they were a rap group will like this album. Toby M. obviously loves rap and Momentum shows that he still has the skills to to a great rap song. I wonder what kind of input he had into the Supernatural ablum, which had no rap in it. Most songs are a mixture of rap/rock, with a lot of heavy guitar, while a few are on the softer side.
I think it is a shame that dc talk doesn't get more secular exposure. I know they tried it with Jesus Freak, but Toby Mac has the talent to sell records in any genre. I like about 5 of the songs on the CD, but all of them are high quality. This is a must have for a DC talk fan.

Tobymac's "Momentum" is a hard to find cd. Best Buy doesn't have it, neither does Wal-Mart, or any other place I've looked. I'm a big Tobymac fan and have all his cd's and dvd's.
The cd "Momentum" kicks off with pure energy. "Get this party started" is the first track and if you like it heavy you'll definitely dig this cd. It's not all heavy though. With tracks like "Irene," having a pop/rock feel and other songs being rap, it's a very eclectic cd. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I definitely recommend buying this cd. And hey, you should buy it now before they're all sold out, because this cd is out of print and the only place that has it is amazon.com

Toby Mac brings us his first solo album , and I have to say this is soooooo much better than dc talk . They held him back but now he's truly at his best I love welcome to diverse city as well !!! This album is rock and rap no pop so if you are looking for dc talk music don't look here. But I have to say this stuff is awsome . I don't usually listen to rap but this is very good and clean Christian music .
