From the Introduction:
For a mother regaining her sexual self, it’s less about learning the latest and greatest blow job technique and more about figuring out how to make a sexual relationship work when the batteries from your vibrator are now powering your baby monitor and the last orgasm you had was when your baby slept four hours in a row.
Motherhood undoubtedly affects our sex lives, but with little opportunity to explore the new changes in our bodies and sexual beings, like many mothers we focus on making sure our kids have perfectly mashed organic bananas and fair-trade hemp organic diapers. And while their tummies and asses are pesticide-free, we’re wishing someone cared about ours (or at least our asses) just as much.
This guide gives moms everywhere permission to exchange their mommy jeans for something just a bit more, um . . . flattering. Self-proclaimed Mominatrix and author of the popular sex column of the same name, Kristen Chase proves that there is more to motherhood than diapers and timeouts. Good moms can be sexy mamas with just a little mominatrix training!

Could Easily be "Manage Your Body Through Pregnancy: A No-Surrender Advice Book for Moms"
The first 80% of this book is about before, during and after birth and the affects on your body. The previous review talking about physiological birth control is 100% correct. Reading this book is as close to reality on life before and after birth than any other book I have read.
What it is not, is a sex book, it is far from it. It is reality on the real life affects on the female body from birth of children.
The last 20% of the book does get into "Spicing Up" the sex life, and if you are still reading it can be valuable.
If you are more than 1 year removed from birth of your latest child, then I would recommend finding a different book.
If you have not yet had a child, or are expecting a child, this is a great book for soon to be moms. It was certainly a reality check at the very least.
I find that the author is practical and humorous in approach. This book talks about subjects that not all women/couples
are comfortable talking about or facing and thus empowers you to navigate your own body and inner sex goddess again.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who recently had a baby.
Kristen Chase wrote those words. And she would know. She's a mom to three and The Mominatrix. She's written a book called The Mominatrix's Guide to Sex: A No-Surrender Advice Book for Naughty Moms.
I read the book over the weekend. And to sum things up? I wish I could have read this book when I was pregnant or in the midst of the first few years of my son's life. I could have really used a guide to getting my "groove" back when I was neck-deep in midnight feedings and couldn't remember my own name due to sleep deprivation.
Kristen writes with warmth, humor and honesty over how pregnancy and babies change a relationship, a body, and the way we women feel about ourselves.
She takes you through the challenges of pregnancy (and sex) and delivers thoughtful tips on how to beckon the sexy afterwards.
Included in the book are some helpful recommendations for practical products moms often need like hip diaper bags and comfortable nursing bras. She's also included suggestions for products that might help you feel like the naughty vixen you once were. (She mentions some sex toys and even porn aimed at women. Really? There's now porn videos aimed at women? And some are actually pretty good? Wow!)
If you're a mom living amongst little people who scream alot and can't wipe their own butt, read this book. If you've got a friend who's pregnant or just had a baby, give her this book. Your friend (and her honey) will thank you later!
