About the Author
Katie Carone owns and runs an educational curriculum company. As a health educator and professional writer, she designs health and fitness programs for children and adolescents. Additionally, writing children's books has always been one of her passions. Most of Katie's stories are based on meaningful experiences in her life and the lives of her children. She lives in Utah with her husband and four kids. All the proceeds from this book go to Dysautonomia International, a501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2012 by patients, caregivers, physicians and researchers dedicated to assisting people living with various forms of dysautonomia. Dysautonomia is an umbrella term used to describe different medical conditions that cause a malfunction of a person's autonomic nervous system. Some forms of dysautonomia are fairly mild, while other forms can be debilitating, or even fatal.
