Judy S. Walter
Alyson Moore, a little reserved, a lot heartbroken, and about to turn forty makes the trip of a lifetime to Paris. No sooner than she gets there, she foils a terrorist bombing attack on the Louvre and begins an adventure that would make a lesser woman hide under the bed until the danger is long gone. Alyson finds a strength inside herself that she never knew she had. Of course it doesn't hurt that sexy (and young) Niko Reynard has been assigned to keep her safe.
Niko has a few heart breaks of his own, but as they fight for Alyson's life, evade terrorists, and try to have as normal a weekend as possible in the City of Lights, Niko and Alyson fall in love.
But there's a lot standing in the way of their happiness: their age difference, living in two different countries and, oh, the leader of an international terrorist organization who won't stop until Alyson is dead.
In the same terrific voice as her romantic comedies, Vonnie Davis gives us Mona Lisa's Room. It's everything her other books are and perhaps more: murdering terrorists, international intrigue, and handsome French heroes. Alyson, so staid she's almost frumpy, finds herself and her inner tigress as she battles for her life and tries to enjoy what's left of her vacation. There's no doubt about it, Mona Lisa's Room is a suspense story that takes the reader on a fabulous vacation in France and along the way lets them fall in love with Niko, Alyson, and Paris.
Thanks, Vonnie. You've done it again!
