All Alyson wants to do is view extraordinary art at the Louvre, putting behind her, forever, a disappointing marriage. Instead, she witnesses a horrific event, bringing her face to face with crime-fighter, Niko Reynard. Forget a vacation, now Aly is forever tied to the only man who can protect her against the notorious Red Hand. This is suspense/romance delivered with a light Evanovich touch. Neither Niko nor Aly could possibly prepare for the suspense delivered to them in MONA LISA'S ROOM. A satisfying read, for sure!

I am a huge fan of Ms. Davis' work and had been waiting for a break in the action so I could sit down and read this story, especially since I knew I would enjoy it. Forget a break. There is no break in this one...and I couldn't have been more thrilled. This action-packed romance has the hero and heroine on the run during most of the book, dodging a terrorist group, murder, conspiracy and their growing attraction to one another. Niko Reynard...sigh...any guy that would take a woman into a shoe store and help her select a pair of Prada heels is top notch in my book, but what I found most refreshing is how the heroine, Alyson, is slightly older than the debonair, sexy Niko, and he couldn't care less. Fabulous! Ms. Davis has an outstanding gift for crafting tension with humor, and the way these two characters fought with each other while falling in love made me step back and pay close attention. I also really liked the reveal at the end. I didn't see the bad guy coming...and was quickly turning pages right through to the end. Bravo to the author and I'm off to purchase the next book in the series. Gwen and Jean-Luc! I can't wait!

This book was so charming and chock full of insights into French culture. The tough-guy French anti-terrorism official must protect the "older" American woman who has no idea how serious her situation is, but can he do it without giving in to the growing attraction between them? Of course not...and we wouldn't want it any other way. If you love romantic suspense with an extra helping of romance, you'll love this book.

Vonnie Davis takes the reader on a romantic and suspense filled journey to Paris. Murder, sex, and a straight laced teacher in the hands of a handsome French government agent are all part of this intriguing story. The book gives new meaning to running for your life. Once you start reading the book, you won't want to put it down. It is well written and thoroughly enjoyable.

Part fish out of water, part woman in jeopardy, and all hot and sexy romance. Yep, Mona Lisa's Room has everything.

Alyson Moore, a little reserved, a lot heartbroken, and about to turn forty makes the trip of a lifetime to Paris. No sooner than she gets there, she foils a terrorist bombing attack on the Louvre and begins an adventure that would make a lesser woman hide under the bed until the danger is long gone. Alyson finds a strength inside herself that she never knew she had. Of course it doesn't hurt that sexy (and young) Niko Reynard has been assigned to keep her safe.

Niko has a few heart breaks of his own, but as they fight for Alyson's life, evade terrorists, and try to have as normal a weekend as possible in the City of Lights, Niko and Alyson fall in love.

But there's a lot standing in the way of their happiness: their age difference, living in two different countries and, oh, the leader of an international terrorist organization who won't stop until Alyson is dead.

In the same terrific voice as her romantic comedies, Vonnie Davis gives us Mona Lisa's Room. It's everything her other books are and perhaps more: murdering terrorists, international intrigue, and handsome French heroes. Alyson, so staid she's almost frumpy, finds herself and her inner tigress as she battles for her life and tries to enjoy what's left of her vacation. There's no doubt about it, Mona Lisa's Room is a suspense story that takes the reader on a fabulous vacation in France and along the way lets them fall in love with Niko, Alyson, and Paris.

Thanks, Vonnie. You've done it again!
