A word about the instructions: They are not difficult. You just have to follow them exactly. All the wood parts have a number. The instructions indicate that for example, legs 3 and 6 go together and also 2 and 5 go together. Although it is possible to assemble it with 2 and 3, then the unfinished parts will be facing out. Although some parts are the same size and shape, they are numbered differently because they are used differently in the assembly. Careful examination of the instructions will result in a problem-free assembly.
It came very carefully packed and wrapped in packing bubbles. The inside is packed with Styrofoam, which can break off into smaller pieces. Make sure you vacuum/sweep carefully afterwards.
There are a couple caveats:
1) The instructions can be somewhat confusing. There are no words, and there is one diagram with around 50 various pieces and arrows pointing in numerous directions. It's best to work with two people and be patient. One specific warning: make sure that you put the back pegs for the wine bottle rack in first, then the overlapping wood pieces, and THEN the front pegs.
2) The wire rack for the wine glasses is somewhat narrow. Our wine glasses (Libbey 12.5-Ounce Wine Party Glass, 12-Piece Set), barely fit and have a base with a 3 inch diameter. If your wine glass base is bigger than that, they probably will not fit.
All in all, the bar was definitely worth the slight hassles in assembly, and you can't beat the price (plus Prime shipping, woohoo!)
But, we took a step a back and started looking at the frame. Basically, when we put the frame together we had unfinished sides showing on the front and the back of the frame. We were confounded and thought the manufacturer had not drilled the holes right in the pieces. The instructions do not have any indication on them about unfinished sides vs. finished sides... so, you have to use your brain to figure out which piece goes where. It was a lot easier to figure out where we went wrong once we had the whole frame together. We just kinda stared at it for a few minutes and then a light bulb went off that we had four of the frame pieces on the wrong sides. So, with a little switching around we finally got all the finished sides right where they needed to be. It was only the frame we had problems figuring out. The rest of the parts were easy.
It is really pretty and once it was all put together I was really glad we didn't give up. It is very sturdy and not wobbly at all. We were a litle skeptical when we were doing the frame cause we had one side that seemed a bit loose but once everything was together it tightened up. Also, when trying to put the shelving unit into the frame we had to loosen the bottom frame pieces to be able to slide it in. If we hadn't done that it wouldn't have gone in. It is also much easier to screw the shelving unit into the frame if you put it on its side.
All in all, we are plesantly surprised and really like the look of it.

Not great materials, but looks nice in a small space. Make sure you pay attention to dimensions because it is shorter than it looks in the picture. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Danielle Rochelle
Like other reviews say, it take a while to put together - took two of us about 3 hours all said and done. However, it was well worth it. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Amazon Customer
I love this piece. It has a bunch of pieces, but it is not that hard to put together. If you separate the pieces by number you should be fine. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Amazon Customer
