From the Back Cover

Truth is Stranger in Utah

To the sober observer there seems to be a remarkable amount of strangeness packed into this relatively small state. Mad polygamists, lingerie cults, fishmobiles, and even UFOs buzz around a landscape many say resembles Mars. Mondo Utah is a collection of some of this state's finer examples of weirdness presented in a professional and respectable manner.

  • What is the color of a beaver's rectum rogare?
  • Who is Corky Ra and why did he gold leaf his cat?
  • Why did Miss Provo, runner up, try and stick a marshmallow in a parking meter?

The answer to these and other perpelexing questions lie buried in the pages of Mondo Utah. This book is important yet poignant, strange yes, but also crucial. It can be said that Mondo Utah is the one and only road map for those lost in an almost square state hell-bent on beating the rest of the world to the millenium.

A Utah native, Harris holds advanced degrees from both the University of Utah and The American Film Institute. He has also been fired from National Geographic as well as NBC.
