Safer riding is better riding
Help your little rider stay safe AND stylish with a pad set that's as cool as they are. This BMX Elbow and Knee Pad set from Mongoose is meant to give little riders the confidence they need to ride the right way: happy and free. The superior shell padding offers the ultimate protection to keep elbows and knees safe from scratching and bruising. The interior gel padding adds extra shock absorption for added comfort, and the soft mesh lining provides a cozy fit. Kids have always rejected wearing pads because they look lame and don't feel comfortable, so Mongoose created a pad set to lay those worries to rest. Elevate your ride with Mongoose.
Up for anything
The protective outer shell is designed to absorb big impact, protecting little elbows and knees from bruises and scrapes.
Adjustable Velcro straps make it easy to find the perfect custom fit.
Look cool while you ride
With a sleek black outer shell and subtle orange and silver spots, your child will look just like the pros do.
Full coverage protection
The set features full coverage protection for both knees and elbows, so every park activity is accounted for.
How it all began:
Founded in 1974 in a Southern California garage, Mongoose was born when founder Skip Hess designed the MotoMag One wheel to make BMX bikes stronger with a rad new look. From there, BMX riding turned from an underground hobby to a full-blown phenomenon, with Mongoose's innovative products continually forging the sport's exciting new path. Mongoose riders dominated the BMX race circuit in the 1980s, while the company continued to push bicycle boundaries by pioneering the first wave of full-suspension mountain bike frames. Today, Mongoose continues to create products that push riders to thrilling new limits, whether it's ripping through gnarly mountain trails, stomping tricks in the park or owning the urban jungle. From reinventing the wheel to our current line of BMX, mountain and pavement bikes, Mongoose is synonymous with pure, unadulterated performance that always keeps the party going.

They are fairly comfortable from what I hear (since I'm not the one wearing them I can only ask!), and are really easy to put on. Not too much messing around with straps and adjustments. Just some good old fashioned spandex! Which is fairly thick so they really do take a beating!
We've actually had these for quite a while now - over a year I think! - and they work just as great as the day we opened them. The plastic guard cups are thich and sturdy but don't inhibit mobility at all.
My kids have fallen so hard wearing these that the plastic looks shaved off in places but still are really durable and do the job.
They also come in a great little mesh bag which a lifesaver for storing and carrying around to friend's houses and sporting events where these would be needed.
I'm extremely happy with these and this brand really never fails to disappoint.
I would recommend these highly if you're looking for protection for basic outdoor play like biking, blading or scooter riding. They're really excellent pads and fit a very broad range of ages and body types!
I have order another pare for my 6 year old daughter. She put these through her own quality test by running and jumping onto her knees and elbows. She loved that she couldn't feel anything so she does this often.. They work great!
I do not recommend these pads.
