- Full 4130 chromoly BMX frame with integrated headset provides a strong, reliable ride
How it all began:
Founded in 1974 in a Southern California garage, Mongoose was born when founder Skip Hess designed the MotoMag One wheel to make BMX bikes stronger with a rad new look. From there, BMX riding turned from an underground hobby to a full-blown phenomenon, with Mongoose's innovative products continually forging the sport's exciting new path. Mongoose riders dominated the BMX race circuit in the 1980s, while the company continued to push bicycle boundaries by pioneering the first wave of full-suspension mountain bike frames. Today, Mongoose continues to create products that push riders to thrilling new limits, whether it's ripping through gnarly mountain trails, stomping tricks in the park or owning the urban jungle. From reinventing the wheel to our current line of BMX, mountain and pavement bikes, Mongoose is synonymous with pure, unadulterated performance that always keeps the party going.
Ride just like the pros on the Mongoose legion L00, the flagship bike in our BMX legion series. It all starts with the Mongoose 21" top tube full 4130 chromoly BMX frame, which features an integrated headset to provide a reliable and smooth ride. The 25x9t gearing, cassette driver, and durable 3-piece tubular Cromo 175 mm cranks attach to an 8-splinter spindle with a sealed mid bottom bracket bearing, so you can worry less about pedaling and focus more on your tricks. All of those components mean stronger connection points and added durability, which means less bike maintenance for you. Light and strong 36-spoke double-wall wide alloy rims support you and the 2.4" tires. All the components are there, now it just needs a rider. Elevate your ride on a Mongoose.

I'm 35 years old and it's easily been 20 years since I've rode a bike. I hopped on this thing and it was like I was a kid again! Very well built and it fits me perfectly. I'm 5'7" and 185lbs and this bike seems to take my abuse with ease. It's a steal at this price and it's great for tooling around parking lots with my little kids. Assembly was a breeze as well. I have nothing but good things to say. Just buy this one! You won't be disappointed!
Con: the rear brake was pretty aweful. Most riders take off the rear brake anyways, but I prefer to be able to control my speed easier. I upgraded it to the Odyssey Springfield rear brake kit ($30) and now I'm super happy.
