Her focus is to build community, foster connectedness, & use her technology and management skills to make a better world, with a belief that each of us has an ability & obligation to use our knowledge, ideas, & talents to advance fairness, justice, safety, health, sustainability, & wellbeing.
She creates solutions through building effective teams, understanding business processes, prioritizing functional specifications, creating database architecture, & implementing systems. Monica is passionate about sustainability, social justice, diversity, entrepreneurship, education, & technology/science as tools for positive social change. She believes each of us makes a difference by using our talents in service to the world's needs.
Author of the A Successful Woman’s Handbook series and frequent speaker and presenter, she is passionate about women's empowerment, social justice, diversity, entrepreneurship, and technology. She founded and sold A Successful Woman, a woman-supporting membership organization, co-founded Gramercy & Co, a luxury home accessories and fashion e-tailer, and edits FemaleFounders.info, which tells stories of other women entrepreneurs, makers, and builders. She currently serves as staff and consultant to national and global teams for platform redevelopment and new digital product launches.
