My (adult) friends and I are completely addicted to this game! Hands take 15 to 30 minutes so it's a perfect diversion during an informal meal or drinks. Playable with as few as two, this game really comes into its own with four or five players. It's easily learned during a single round but probably takes at least 10 to get good at as there is a lot of strategy. Luck plays a significant role(and fortunes can change quickly)but the advantage goes to the alert player who knows how to use their cards.
The shuffler is not really worth it imo. It's huge and a bit awkward. The two halves separate so you can get the cards in and out but they don't nest and it would take as much space in a glove box or purse as a medium tissue box. I'm not sure how well it works, either, or how gentle its mechanical action will be on the cards. For children with small hands, it may be a game-saver - as the deck is 106 cards! Still, I prefer to shuffle by hand. (For 6 or more players Parker Bros recommend using a double deck - 212 cards - but the shuffler holds a single deck)!

I, personally, am a huge Monopoly lover. Name a Monopoly and I can show it to you. This isn't the kind of game you have to play with for hours and wait for your brothers to throw a fit cause they're bored. It takes 20 minutes with 4 players playing to 5 property sets to win.
Some people said that there is too much money cards. Well, that's sorta true, but it's not a bad thing. You--and other players can keep a well stocked bank, so you won't regret it when somebody asks you for a stupendous rent amount. It is kinda sad there is only 2 Deal Breaker's--and only 3 Just Say No's. The 10M bill--golden one--is a one of a kind. Let me just say that the person who made it probably didn't assume it, but thesecond you put it in your bank, every single player is charging you big rent so yougive it to them--theythinkit's a pathway to winning or somethink.
Those cards are durable, and really good for building cardhouses. The idea of houses and hotels is fun, but it totally depends on luck of drawing it. I try not to put them down unless I have a rent--and that is because if another owns Deal Breaker, when they steal the house and/or hotel property, they get to take it as well!
Overall, this is a great product.

while the card game is lots of fun the shuffler was a major disappointment. the cards get jammed in the slots and you have to work to dig them out time and time again. it is so much faster shuffling by hand.

Monopoly Deal is the perfect game for families and kids of all ages. I bought one for my cousins, and the ages of my family players ranged from 8 to 22. Based on the popularity it had with my cousins, I recommended it to my coworker as an appropriate, educational and fun game for 4th and 5th grade students for a financial education program.

Description: Monopoly Deal is a 2-4 player, fast paced game based on Monopoly. Instead of a board game that takes hours and hours, this game is a card game variation that is quick to learn, easy to take on the road and plays out in an hour. Similar to Monopoly, players can buy properties with Monopoly currency or trade properties with other players. If you collect three property sets of the same color, you win!

How it Differs from Monopoly: The difference from Monopoly is it doesn't have the fun iconic tokens or green houses and red hotels, and it has new names for cards such as Forced Deal (forcing players to trade property cards with you), Deal Breaker (allowing you to avoid trading your property in a Forced Deal), Birthday (all the other players give you cash), and Debt Collector (you have to pay money) among others. It also features Wild Cards (similar to Uno), that can count as a property of more than one color.

Pros: Quick to learn, easy to play. It's uncomplicated, so anyone ages 8 and up can learn. It's addictive and the game ends in an hour (less time than Monopoly). If you're getting it for someone 8-10, the money cards helps reinforce math skills and if you are teaching them financial education, it exposes them to concepts about spending/saving money, buying property, and rent in a fun and easily understandable way through gameplay. It's also good for older kids and adults.

Whole family loves this game from the 8yr old to the 35 year old. Very fun. This special edition with the shuffler box isn't worth it though as the shuffler isn't effective and doesn't really shuffle so I'll give 5 stars for the game and 3 for the shuffler so it gets a 4 over all.

This well-designed card game should be fun for anyone who likes Monopoly and card games in general. The rules included with the set are simple enough, though there are some rules clarifications in a FAQ on the official web site. For under $6, it is really worth just giving it a try.

The shuffled included with this version is definitely close to useless in that it doesn't work all that well and even if it did, it would not provide much of an advantage over hand-shuffling the deck as two halves. But since version is usually cheaper than the non-shuffler version, this one is probably the one to get.
