    Product Description

For true noise-isolation and maximum sound quality you really need a pair of "over the ear" headphones like this lightweight model from Monoprice. These headphones are ideal for portable applications when you want to get the best sound and really don't want to be interrupted by outside noises. They are vertically adjustable to about 1" on each side and fit close to the head. Combined with the light weight it means you can move around a bit and not have them fall off your head. The earpieces are fitted with thick comfortable padding which improve the fit against the side of your head and helps keep outside noises from interfering with your listening pleasure. A 50 mm driver and 102 dB sensitivity ensures that These phones produce good volume and clear sound reproduction at all frequencies. The 47" cord is ideal for portable applications or for use with a laptop computer. The 3.5 mm plug is gold-plated for maximum conductivity and for improved resistance to corrosion over the more common tin- or nickel-plated types. Monoprice has everything you need to maximize your music experience! You may also want to consider: Adapter to plug into 2.5 mm stereo audio jacks on newer devices Adapter to plug into older 1/4" stereo equipment jacks Audio extension cables if the cord isn't long enough Headphone splitters and hubs so you can share your music!

These sound great and are worth it so far for the $$ I spent. I had heard great things about Monoprice and have not been disappointed so far. I am not an audiophile, but do listen to music nearly eight hours a day at work. So I like to switch out my headphones every couple of hours and like to test the different models I have against each other. I know it's silly, but it breaks up the boredom. These are lighter than you might think, and seem solidly built. They are not quite as nice sounding as the Bose AE2 headphones I have, and they aren't as light either, but for the money, they pack a nice punch. I have discovered that different headphones sound a lot better if you play with the equalizer on your MP3 player. So when you are comparing different headphones try that. You'd be surprised at how great a cheaper set of cans will sound with the right settings even compared to a much more expensive brand.

I had these lying around and had some time to spare. I thought I'd take a stab at giving these headphones a shot.

First off, these headphones are grainy. They don't do well when volume increases. However, in a quiet environment and at the lower side of the volume gain, these headphones do great compared to their price. I use the Fulla Schiit with these when listening.

The headphones are a mid bass heavy type of sound. Due to the construction, you won't get that physical deep bass feeling. I think the sound stage is surprisingly decent, however the bloated and slightly muffled bass is going to take the forefront of any focus you might want to have on the sound. The treble is not extremely faint, but it isn't the typical V shaped sound either due to the emphasis of the mid bass.

There are a lot of things that make it obviously a cheap headphone, but somehow everything together (including price) makes this a surprisingly fun and satisfying experience. The sound signature is what distinguishes headphones from each other, even though most want to comment on quality. These headphones are not clear at all compared to higher end pieces, especially when you increase gain, but there is just a fun and kind of smooth punch to the bass for the price.

Reminds me of my first Sony in ear extra bass headphones. These are great for music where you want to bump to the bass. Not really good for anything outside of music which utilizes bass, since they're not realistic and have an over emphasis on bass. Maybe "lofi" is a term you can use for these.

*plus they are also very light.
**replace the earpads with XRHYY Brainwavz HM5 earpads on Aliexpress. I was having issues with the original earpads as they were too thin and my ears were rubbing on the inside. The XRHYY earpads boost the bass a lot if you didnt believe me about the bass on the original pads. It's more comfortable (and fun) this way.

In my haste I picked this pair of Lightweights instead of the the Pro Studio DJ pair.

I don't know if there is a difference in sound or fit but the audio cord is hardwired with this set so you can't swap it out with a higher quality no tangle cable (Anker 3.5mm). They are light weight and a little on the smaller side. I've got an average sized head so they fit fine and are comfortable. I'm giving them 5 stars because for the price they sound pretty good. They're not a pair of Bose but they don't cost $300 either.

When purchasing these pay attention and click the Pro Studio DJ Icon because for $1 more you basically can upgrade the audio cable, etc. But if you don't need that upgrade then these are great for the price.

I can't use earbuds so I have always bought these specific headphones because they are cheap and work well, and the first couple of pairs lasted a year each. My last 3 pairs have lasted no more than 5 months each, and one was broken out of the box. They changed something obviously, and now these suck. Waste of money.

I paid about $10 for these buying them from Amazon Warehouse, and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for them after trying them out. I prefer the sound signature of the Monoprice DJ headphones, which can be had for about the same price, and allows you to connect a cable of your preferred length. The headphones are lightweight, but the foam pads feel fairly hard and stiff, more so than the stock DJ pads. In short, get the DJ ones instead, though be aware that the headband on those are kind of "creaky" (but that's only an issue when first putting them on and positioning them).

      + fair shipping time

      - bought it because of the good recommendations of monoprice headphones but the sound quality this one is really terrible. it sounds more like a children tin can telephone with a lot of additional overpresented bum bum bass
      - the headphone pressure is to strong, more like a clamp and after a couple of minutes its starting to hurt
      - the shipping to exterior countries is to complicated and there was no direct notice about that before. you have to give a personell ID from the country where you are in to the shipping company, but when you are a foreigner on a visit in this country then you maybe will have a lot of trouble to get your package

Excellent value. These aren't designed to withstand abuse. They're plastic and kinda flimsy. But they're very comfortable, even for hours at a time. The cord on mine is permanently fixed on the headphone, so I could not replace the cord with a slightly longer one which is a bit of an issue for me. The cord is about 3 feet long, and I'd have liked it to be about 3.5 feet, but at this price, I can buy an extension. I haven't tested the impedance, but these seem higher than my old cans, meaning less loud for the same volume setting. So I have to turn up the volume a little bit to get the same volume level. The sound isn't perfect, but its pretty good. Fairly flat, sound good with music and video.

Okay, I know I paid too much for these (around £28) but Jesus do.they sound good. The bass is there, they can get really loud, and actually feel pretty solid and very comfortable.

It's a really decent set of headphones. Good sound isolation, good quality sound. Folds to be more compact for travel. Feel kinda cheap, but at $35, with this sound quality, NO complaints
