With its stylish design, these Monoprice earphones will prompt complete strangers to ask you where you got them, but you won't hear a word they say as you rock on down the highway! Made with a noise-isolating design and producing clear and solid sound, these earphone are a great way to enjoy your favorite music from your iPod or other portable music device. They fit comfortably into the ears and produce solid bass notes and clear midrange tones, both normally a weakness in earphones, thanks to the large 14.2 mm driver unit. The package includes three different sized pairs of silicone earbuds, for a better, more comfortable fit. The 48" cord terminates in a gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo plug, which connects to most popular music devices and phones, with better connectivity and corrosion resistance than the more common nickel and tin-plated connectors. The end result is a pair of earphones that are made for the rigors of daily use from the music fan on the go! Amazing sound clarity, hard-rocking bass, and durability. Who could ask for more? What? You want Aerosmith to play at your birthday party? OK, you CAN ask for more! Note: For best results these earphones should be broken in by playing pink noise through them for about 24 hours. The difference in sound quality before and after the pink noise break-in period can be quite dramatic.

UPDATE 12/30/2014: The braided coating of the rubber cord/tubes split in many areas, the result was bulges or bubbles of the inner rubber tubing where the knitted outer layer gave in. The bubbles burst, wire got exposed, and wires got severed by the bend caused by the tension of the outer braid. Severed wires = broken headphones!!
These earphones were going to last indefinitely as they were my favorite pair, but I guess not.
UPDATE 3/31/2014: I liked the headphones so much that I bought them and tweaked them to prevent the braid design flaw in mid-January. I severed the thread while leaving the rubber tubing intact. This is a very tricky procedure, so I attached a photo showing how it should look. They haven't given me any trouble. Same excellent sound, and they'll last this time too!
UPDATE 5/7/2014: I haven't been the most gentle with my pair, but even then, they work just as good as they did when I bought them. No rubber tubing issues, no other issues whatsoever. If you plan to get these earphones, do yourself a huge favor and SEVER THE OUTER THREAD. They will be the best pair you'll ever lay your hands on, especially considering the cost!
These headphones do have one pretty comprehensive failure: The initially luxe-seeming fabric cables are almost supernaturally prone to tangles. Seriously, if you just left them on your nightstand while you took a nap there's a good chance you'd awake to find that they'd somehow tied your hands and feet to the bedposts. And because the body of the earpieces are so big, untying them can be pretty frustrating, especially when you just want to pop them in for a quick listen. Seeing as how they don't come with a case or a cable management system of any kind, and being that they live in the shadowy maelstrom of my bag for weeks on end with nothing to do but tangle themselves into a Brillo pad, it's definitely a nuisance.
Still, it's hard to give any headphones that sound this OK, that can be had for the price of a fancy drink, any less than four stars. Why not get some?
-The highs sound pretty good and the bass and mids sound amazing.
-Doesnt hurt your inner ear after extended use.
-Amazing quality for such a low price.
-14.2mm audio drivers push out some serious sound.
-Straight 3.5mm plug
-The noise isolation is pretty poor.
-The tiny screws are actually quite sharp and catch on cloth.
Would highly recommend these for someone who wants good sound quality at the same price point as a trash pair of earbuds from the marshall's clearance rack.
They sound great for the price range. Unfortunately each pair I've bought has the same issue, with an ever decreasing lifespan. This last pair lasting less than 30 days.
Every time, the right ear channel starts to crackle and within 24 hours it goes completely dead and the left channel gets very quiet.
It's unfortunate, because I actually really like the sound. Better than some much more expensive headphones I've had. But at the cost of $10 a month I could have bought a much nicer set after a year.
They off surprisingly good bass response while being clear and without distortion. They sound like they cost MUCH more money.
The fit, for me anyways, is excellent. They fit snug in my ear and don't move around. They come with 3 different sized plugs to fit in your ear. They are noise isolating, so of you have never worn a pair like these, they are different than some normal ear buds (such as the standard iPod headphones). They completely fill the ear canal, which can make sounds like moving your mouth, or breathing, sound odd. With music playing it eliminates this odd sound. Still, some people don't like this. Stick your pinky in your ear and chew, that's what you may experience with ear buds such as these. To me, I don't care, others may mind. They do block most outside noise with this design, which is nice. These are not a headphone you can wear and have a conversation with someone else even with the volume off, they will need to be taken out.
The style of them is alright. They have a large external driver, and a small metal plate attached. They don't look "cheap", but also don't look super expensive. They are as expected for the price. The cord is a nice braided fabric style cord, which feels higher end than a cheap plastic cord.
The price is excellent, and for this much money, you won't find much better.
