Fastening Tape 0.75-inch Hook & Loop Fastening Tape 5 yard/roll - Black Self-attaching hook and loop material, popularized by the NASA space program, is a "miracle" fastener with thousands of uses, from hanging a picture on a wall to replacing a traditional zipper on a jacket to almost anything you can imagine. This roll of hook and loop material is just what you need for that special project. The roll measures 3/4" wide and 15 feet long with hook material on one side and loop material on the other.

Be aware that this has the hooks on one side and loops on the other. There is no adhesive backing. So the purpose of these is to wrap around cables to organize them.
They can be cut with scissors to whatever length works. They are not suitable for holding two heavy parts together or for mounting large objects to a surface. These are primarily for wrapping the items you want to bind.
I also have used screws to attach long strips to shelving. Then wrap shorter lengths around light tools with the opposite type side as the strip facing out. Then you can hang them up on the long strip and remove them at wiil.
You can get inventive with the 5 yards of this stuff but just remember they are primarily to wrap cables.
I picked green this time because it blends in better when fastening branches or orchid stems so that they will stay upright against whatever support I'm trying to secure them to. The black tape stood out like a black eye, this is somewhat more subtle. Since I've been on a gardening binge, I'm already more than halfway through the roll. So it's time to reorder and I think I will go with this color again because it works well with plants (where it blends in) and works well with holding anything else together when you do want it to stand out and be more visible.
Another application is tying down monitors on their wobbelly stands, annacanna not enjoying watching e.g. expensive Genelecs crashing onto desks. And even if you're into those funky KRKs, they can do a lot of damage wherever they land. Whichever side is more expensive will thank you. With a few inches of overlap, this stuff makes remarkably strong bonds. There is no adhesive here, the two part material with adhesive is a different thing. Most Dollar stores carry that.
Get at least a couple of rolls right off the bat, so you don't have to reorder the next day, like I did, as I discovered all the other uses. Hard-core perverts have apparently known about this stuff for ages, but even just slightly twisted amateurs enjoy the sound of pulling it apart. Re-usable and much more cost-effective than e.g. popping bubble-wrap.
