After all of this I would probably not have tried the other one but I had bought it so - - - . The passenger side worked just like it is drawn up; pull the bolts, knock the hub assembly down and pull the bottom of the strut out, put the new one in - - less than a hour.
Any how, now my old wreck certainly rides better. Just hope they hold up after all of this.
Process is easy with spring on. But first, spray with clear liquor because Monroe paint is really one coat and in 3 months it will disappear. I coated the shock absorber and spring with 3 coats of clear coat (Home Depot or WAL Mart at ~ $4)
The worst part about installation is removing the lower part. First hang the 3 upper bolts loose on the mount, Never take the big center nut off, Lower the suspension either with a helper or a pry rod with your foot. I suggest you clean the "pocket" at the bottom and put some light coat of anti seize or lithium grease. (Note, if you cannot get the bottom neck of the strut in its "pocket" loosen the subframe 2 bolts (Don't undo fully), and the world is yours.
Definitely a great buy at a marvelous price
