Bad writing

It was choppy and poorly produced. Kind of a rip off of big hero six. My six year old called out one of the most frustrating things about this movie- WHY ARE THE TWO BULLIES AT THE START OF THE MOVIE WEARING BLINDFOLDS?!? How can they see?!! It doesn’t make sense. Why is the first professor so adamant about categorizing the main character as dumb within minutes of meeting him? The main built a nanobot! It’s one of a kind. Bad writing and design even for a kid’s movie.

Offensive Subliminal Messaging
Verified purchase
This movie was offensive with its messaging. The "alien" just so happens to be Mexican. Ooookkkk. When there are questions about him, the character says, "is it because I'm Mexican?" in several scenes. The response was always, "No, it's because you're from the 5th dimension." The subliminal messaging and gaslighting really rubbed me the wrong way. The messaging is entirely unnecessary in a children's movie, and I am HARDLY the sensitive type.

All in all, it was unnecessary messaging because there was little to no educational or cultural context to the "alien" being from Mexico. This was a missed opportunity to impart some awesomeness about Mexican culture, PLUS why couldn't the kids be Mexican? Why is it a Mexican alien as if Mexicans aren't already thought of as illegal aliens in the US. MAJOR EYE ROLL!

Whoever wrote this needs another career.

Movie was just okay

Movie was okay but to be honest and fair there are better animated movie's on prime and other channels that are free.
Story isn't that intriguing and we were happy when the 80 minutes ended.
Graphics are great and some characters are ok but the movie is definitely not hilarious.

AWFUL

Definitely a, (not watching again) movie. Out of six kids, and all of them in complete agreement, (shockingly), it was the worst thought out movie we have seen in awhile. Graphics were great. Lines, characters voices. Absolutely terrible.

There are better “free” animated movies

Low budget computer animation, poor dialog and voice acting and weak story. Painful to watch as a parent and my kids tolerated it with disappointment. I can’t believe this was a $5.99 rental.
