Comfort is okay, the tangle proof cord is definitely tangle proof but it isn't very flexible and can be awkward.
I waited a year to post this review, so this is the timeline of things falling apart. Keep in mind, I've done nothing but jog in normal weather and run on a treadmill. I haven't done anything crazy in these things, even though they're advertised as the athletes headphone, I just wanted a pair that stayed in place that sounded good.
At 2 months, the monster logo came off. At about 3-4, the volume adjustment rubber sticker thing? Anyway, that cover fell off. At the Y junction, copper started showing through and one of the hubs started coming loose. At about 8-9 months the wiring around the headphone jack became frayed open and is now just barely hanging on for dear life. It's pretty pathetic.
Monster has a long way to go on durability, which is a tragic thing because I would easily say they're my favorite set I've owned for the other characteristics.
What I Like:
-Noise cancellation is great
-Sound is good.
-They stay in your ear and everything feels high quality.
What I Don't Like:
-Sound is good, not great.
-Because they so effectively seal the ear canal and cancel outside sound, when I run every bounce of the cord is felt/heard in my eardrum. I'm not sure how to explain it, but because these fit so perfectly against the walls of the auditory canal, every vibration throughout the cord is amplified. For this reason I don't ever run in these.. .these are strictly for weights.
If I was able to do it all over again, I wouldn't have spent the money on these. Like everything else, I'm sure they'll work for some and not for others. That's just how it goes. For me I find my other earbuds to fit more comfortably, sound better, and allow me to run with them.
"ControlTalk™ in-line mic with controls for iPad®, iPhone® and iPod®"

However when the product arrived and I started using it, the volume controls did not work with my iPhone 5S. At first I thought I'd misread the Amazon page and I'd bought the wrong product. But then I found the above quotes which made it clear that this product is intended for use with Apple products.
Finally I went to the Monster web site here: [...]
This page has a chart saying what each button does for each kind of device. The volume up/down buttons are said to control volume for Sony, Nokia, Samsung, Xiaomi and OnePlus devices. For Apple? "No function."
Otherwise the product is pretty decent. The noise isolation is good. The sound quality is good. The inline remote feels a little cheap but the center button at least does something. I would've preferred the inline remote to be on the right instead of the left but I could deal with that.
But the deal breaker here is that the volume controls don't work. So the inline remote is useless. I am very disappointed in this product's information page as it appears on Amazon. I would definitely say that it is misrepresenting the product, to the point where it appears to promise functionality that I absolutely needed and that is not offered by this product.
Boo hiss. Steer clear if you need inline volume controls for an Apple product.
Now the real reason for the one star rating is Monster's Customer Service! It is terrible and unacceptable. I contacted them via email with all of the particulars of my purchase and complaints. Three days later I get a generic email with just a link to a RMA request form. So I play the game and fill the form out only to be sent to some black-hole to be swallowed up into oblivion. Two weeks later I had not heard anything back so I call them. I waited about an hour and finally gave up on the calling avenue. I reply to the original email asking if there is any information on my RMA request. I am still waiting for a response after a week.
The cost of these far exceeds the performance and the fact that obtaining any warranty relief at this point seems impossible, I would recommend staying away. Will update review if events change.
