I can't remember the last time a series like this grabbed hold of my attention and didn't let go. I've been totally spellbound. This is Dark Erotica at it's finest--absolutely top notch. Pepper Winters in without a doubt one of my favourite Authors.

Let me start by saying that I've read this whole series, plus four or so other books by this author. I'd say that that's a fair shot.

They were all horrible and the writing isn't good.

The characters are unbelievable and whiny. Why is Q angry again? Oh wait... He always is.

The amount of unreasonable, irrational angst is funny for a while, and then it gets incredibly annoying.

I eventually got so bored that I began skimming pages. What's sad is I didn't miss much by doing so. Tess was still having purple prose inner dialogues and Q was being... well, he's not much else other than angry. At everything.

Did I just repeat myself? Well be prepared for pages and pages of endless repetition, If you choose to buy this book.

In summary, severely annoying characters. Boredom. Bad writing and I skimmed pages without missing a single important thing.

I loved Tears of Tess disliked Quintessentially Q and didn't even bother reading Twisted Together (maybe I will but not today).
***** Update *****
Thank you for writing Twisted Together because book two killed me. This book was amazing.
This is a dark romance I love Vol 1 Q and Tess were made for each other he had dark secrets she had dark secrets. They meet in a horrible circumstance b/c she was kidnapped from Mexico sold to the Russian Mafia and was given as a business bribe to Q. They fell for each other she got kidnapped again by some other retards and was raped and was saved by Q n then he released her back to her previous life. She couldn't manage being without him and went back to him. They lived Happily Ever After The End WRONG!!!!. It could've ended there but it didn't. In Vol 2 Apparently she got kidnapped again by the same guys from Mexico and since she "forgot" to remove the tracker that was placed in her neck (go figure) they were able to easily find her. Although the Russian Mafia had already known where she was since they gave her directly to Q and were in his house for dinner while she was halfway naked on display. Anyway, she was taken to Rio and was drugged for what seemed to be every hour for 14 days and was starved oh and she had pneumonia and was made to beat and kill other girls in her drugged state. At the rate that she was drugged anyone would've died of an overdose. I wasn't okay with that but it was tolerable I skipped like 6 chapters of this repeating scenario. What I didn't like was that in this book Q seemed like a dumb@$$ who couldn't think coherently and was losing his f!@#$%^ mind oh and was portrayed as a godd!@ whimp at the end. When they finally find her she was a drugged up mess and the recovery was even messier.

If you don't like dark, don't read these books. If your mind cannot handle torture and abuse, don't read these books.
But, if you want a story with passion and angst and gut-wrenching, heartbreaking love scenes, by all means read these books! The story of Q and Tess rips your heart out and then puts it right back in your throat.
I was glued to the pages from the start and could not put it down.
Without any spoilers, my one question throughout this series was, "My God!! How much more can this girl suffer?"
These books do not come with rainbows. There are no hearts and flowers. No glitter. No stunning rays of light.
These books come with characters you will never forget. A story so enthralling that you will never want it to end.
Pepper Winters gives you a man so messed up that you can't help but want to fix him. And a woman so strong that you just know she can and will survive anything.
Without a doubt, Monsters in the Dark is a series you will want to read over and over and over.

I read books 1 & 2 back to back but had to take a break before I read the final book in the series. I LOVED each one but I can't even begin to tell you how much each story tore me to pieces. The only thing that would make Tess & Q's story better would be a good proofreader. Please, Ms. Winters, consider it!!!

Teas of Tess
WOW!!! What a phenomenally great book!!!!

Shortly before she is to sit for her final exams Tess Snow's boyfriend surprises her with a vacation to lovely Cancun, Mexico. On their first day there, her boyfriend Brax (an immature twit, if you ask me) takes them for a crazy scooter ride & decides it cool to stop at some rundown cantina, even though Tess pleads with him to find somewhere else. Then he is stupid enough to leave her alone while he goes to the bathroom. This, of course, leads to Tess being kidnapped by human traffickers.

While in the hands of the traffickers things get kind of scary a few times but, really, not as bad as it could have been. Then she gets sent to her new master & this is when things start to get interesting.

This book is fantastic & I can not wait to read Quintessentially Q.

Quintessentially Q
Not exactly what I expected but OH MY GOD!!!! Fantastic!!!

I guess I thought that this would be MORE about Q & less about Tess. But that's okay because it was fantastic just the way it was. The things that Tess endured in this book were horrific!!! And the lengths Q was willing to go to to get her back were, in my humble opinion, heroic!!!! This book tore me to shreds & then slowly, gut-wrenchingly, put me back together. I can't wait to read the final installment of this tragically beautiful love story!!!!

Twisted Together
WOW!!!
