1.) Roomy - I was able to fit my 3070 with enough room for air flow. There is also a video card support bar near the front of the case. My Noctua NH-U12S fits and has plenty of room after the tempered glass is placed in.
2.) Comes with two PWM fans, one RGB, one non-RGB. RGB one is the exhaust fan (the one in the pic) and the non-RGB is the front intake. I replaced the the non-RGB with two 140mm Antec Fans to provide more intake flow and moved the non-RGB fan to the top of the case as an exhaust. My CPU/GPU Temps are seriously low!
3.) Tempered glass for the side view of your PC Parts.
4.) USB-C Header is a nice addition!
1.) The RGB Hub that came with is pretty flimsy. I replaced it with the one that came with my Antec fans.
2.) If you decide to place your card horizontally, the instructions says to remove the panel in the back by the PCI-Express slots. Bit of a hassle.
If it's more pros than cons, then why the two star rating?
Well, the case came from the west coast and I live in the midwest. I ordered on 12/13 and arrived more than week later (9 days, to be exact). It also arrived damaged (see the attached pictures.)
I would have returned it via Amazon, but since it wasn't sold/packaged by Amazon, the return would be a lengthy process (they need to receive the item back first before the refund was issued). Thus, I contacted Montech and asked about what they can do to help.
They responded fairly quickly, to my surprised, because I contacted them during Christmas. They were super helpful in the fact that they were willing to send me a brand new case without me returning the one that was damaged! I thought it was awesome customer service!
Then, they contacted me the day after asking if it was just the side panel or the case itself. I said it was the side panel and they said that they could just ship that instead of the whole case because now, if I wanted the new case, I would need to return the entire damaged case. I'm not disappointed because I didn't get a brand new case, in fact, I am more than happy to just get an undamaged side panel if it means that my PC will look clean.
I'm disappointed for two reasons:
1.) They back pedaled from their original solution to the problem. They offered a brand new case without sending back the old one, then retracted it the next day. Not cool.
2.) It has been 28 days since I contacted Montech for a replacement and they have not updated any info about the side panel being shipped unless I contact them first. I understood that during Christmas time, it is going to busy. But we are now well into January and still no replacement.
Once I have my side panel, I will update this rating and rate it according to what I think this deserves because I expected it to be undamaged upon arrival.
The case itself is good. But as for Montech, I don't know if I would purchase from them again.
This case has plenty of space for anything you want to add, be it liquid cooling, lots of fans, SSDs, etc.. I transferred my existing PC parts into this case and purchased some case fans from Deepcool, which are really nice and move a lot of CFM, but they have the 3 pin (VDG) pins instead of the 3 pin (VDxG), which made my build more complicated. They were also really expensive. If I had to do it again, I would have just bought this case with the 3 Montech ARGB fans that they offer in a discounted package as they are nice quality fans, fully compatible with the system, and look nice.
The build of this case is solid metal and feels high quality, not cheap or flimsy. The Velcro straps on the back, white cable cover bar, and motherboard post attachment tool are a nice touch. Cable management is well thought out in this case. USB C and USB 3.0, a reset button, slide off SSD trays are all great additions too. A cable free solid front panel gives it a nice premium feel. The ARGB controller is a nice addition but there are no instructions included for the various inputs and outputs on it. Which brings me to my only real gripe about this case.
The documentation for this case stinks. The included pamphlet tells you next to nothing, like how to take the plate off to insert a graphics card or how to wire your ARGB stuff. This led to some wasted time but I was able to prevail, I just wish they would improve this, even if this information is only on their website, it would be nice to have a resource that details some of this information.
It would be nice to include 3 fans at the $93 price point as the price seems to be a little high to only include 2.
I would highly recommend this case for anyone looking to do a build and not break the bank.
