I've been reading the Time for Love series by Bethany Lopez since almost the beginning, and I've really grown to love this group of friends who've found true love within their circle and with newcomers along the way. Each of the titles of the series refers to a time element that is meaningful in the relationship, and this one, 7 months, is the story of Brady and Ming. Seven months refers to the length of time that Brady and Ming have been having a secret affair. Brady's brother Brock is firmly entrenched in that group of aforementioned friends, and by association so is Brady, and when he met smart successful lawyer Ming through the group, the attraction between them was immediate but with conditions - Brady's been very clear that it's a friends with benefits deal only, no emotional entanglements, and Ming agreed. But she's 35, and starting to think about having a family, and clearly Brady isn't ready for that kind of step. Breaking things off with him seems to be the only solution. Yet Brady finds that he isn't so happy with the prospect of not seeing Ming anymore, and that maybe his feelings on the whole idea of a relationship aren't so cut and dried. Will he be able to own up to his true feelings for Ming before it's too late?

I wasn't sure how to feel about Brady at the start of the story, though it's made clear that the relationship he and Ming have is completely mutual. They both went into this thing with their eyes open and with clear expectations of how it would look. Only 7 months down the road, those expectations for Ming aren't so satisfying anymore.

Loved this book! It was very bittersweet for me. I was absolutely thrilled to finally read Brady’s story. He's so quiet, brooding, mysterious…and way sexy. And at the same time, I’m sad – because this is the last book in one of my favorite series.

Brady’s main job is being a police officer. He also plays the drums on the side in a band with his (equally sexy) brothers. Doesn’t get much hotter than that. He keeps to himself, keeping up those walls around his heart. He may come off as standoffish or a guy with zero emotion... But he’s just misunderstood… and keeps his heart a little bit guarded. Is he quiet & reserved? Definitely. Does he express his emotions & feelings very well? Nope. He feels the need to protect – everyone. He needs the perfect person to break down those walls. He needs to let someone in and take care of HIM for a change.

Ming is strong-minded, highly intelligent, and knows what she wants. For the last 7 months, she’s been taking what she wants…but now she wants more. She puts her foot down, waiting to see if what (and who) she wants will come to her.

As usual, Bethany’s storytelling is fabulous. We get a great story with the perfect blend of laughs, drama, and steaminess. This book is #7 in the Time For Love series. You don’t have to read the others before this, but I really think you should – because they’re awesome & fun with characters that feel REAL. And if you read the others first, it will make reading 7 Months much more enjoyable.

This book is the ending of one of my most favorite series. I have loved every single book and have come to love each and every character. I feel like I know them all personally and will miss them dearly. This is Brady's book, the last brother that finally gave in to love and commitment. He started off seeing Ming casually, of course tried to fight and deny any "real feelings" and luckily she was smart enough to demand more. She knew that she deserved more. I love the wrap up and being able to get some closure on all of my favorite friends. Thanks Bethany for an epic ending and I can't wait to see what you have for us next.

7 Months is a story that take a very friends and family oriented path straight to the hearts of it's readers.
Because while it is very clear that the attraction that keeps nights (and some mornings) very warm between Brady and Ming; has a far greater pull than either of the two ever anticipated. When they agreed to their "scratch each other's itch " relationship some 7 months prior.

Making matters worse for these two. The fact that everyone around them is either married, pregnant, or paired.

So, just what is it that is stopping these two "secret lovers" from taking the plunge, and resetting their relationship status from private to public?
That would be...each other.

Brady is a blue collar rocker/cop. Who takes his oath to "protect and serve," in his role as a policeman, just as serious in uniform as out. But with the calm, and collected, and very high powered attorney Ming. It seems that the only service she requires is the sexy sort.
You know what they say about appearances however, and Ming is ready to see her urban knight in full regalia.

The obvious longing that these two have for a connection with each other, and their tentative steps toward more; go a long way in forging a strong emotional bond between this couple and their audience.
Brady and Ming are two good people, who are (or who can be) very good together. If they could just find a way to communicate with their clothes on.

Luckily for readers, this book is not one that rests on it's romantic laurels. With drama coming at our two skittish lovebirds from all sides. Whether it be the impending birth of Bronagh's baby (Brady's sister-in law and Ming's best friend). Ming's defense of Brady's friend Natalie, against her abusive husband in court.
