About the Author
Lucy H. Pearce is the mother of three children and four books including the #1 Amazon bestsellers The Rainbow Way and Moon Time.
"Each page of this book contains a piece of truth that speaks to my soul. All at once, her words make me laugh, cry, breathe sighs of relief and wish to hug her. This book is a gold mine of must-read loveliness that every mama will enjoy."
Summer Thorpe Lancaster
"Lucy’s frank and forthright style paired with beautiful, haunting language and her talent for storytelling will have any parent nodding, crying and laughing along – appreciating the good and the bad, the hard and the soft, the light and the dark. A must-read for any new parent."
Zoe Foster, JUNO magazine
"I laughed and cried all the way through this book, and identified with so much of it! Hugely recommended to all mothers!"

I feel there is a hollowness, and dishonesty even in society’s representation of what it means to be a mother. We are too often seen only as how we impact our children, instead of a complex human with our own needs, struggles and emotional landscape. This book is empowering, as Lucy tells it like it is with heart and soul. She depicts motherhood in its totality – the deepest joys, the monotony, the pains and tenderness, the sorrows and frustrations. She writes about ALL of it and with great wisdom. I buy this book as a present for friends who are new mamas, as it is like an intimate friend, one to relax into, have a laugh and a cry with, and to nod vigorously with in understanding. But it is not just for new mothers - mothers with many years experience will enjoy this equally.
