So but the book. This book the second Moon People 2 was better than Moon People because I was already excited and the first Moon People 1. So I read it. Moon People 2, and it was better at riveting me. So when after reading I gave it to my friend and He said to leave him alone. Because he's reading Moon People 2, but he doesn't have Moon People 1! So some parts of it might not make as much sense? But part's that do are good.
ZOMG I was so excited when I saw there is another book by the same auther as The Moon People and its also about Moon People as well. The first book (which is now "Moon People 1" I guess) left a lot of unanswered questions. This book answers all those questions and raises brand NEW questions that will probably require a Moon People 3. I sure hope so because I want too read that one now!
I dont want to spoil the plot of this book but I will say if you liked Moon People 1 but thought it could have used even MORE planets and MORE Moon People then stop looking becuase this is the book for you my friend. I could not put it down until I was finished reading it at which point I put it down and had to imediately write a review of it so everyone would know how good this book is!
I give this book FIVE STARS but I am taking off ONE STAR as a penalty because Dean Courtny should have titeled the first book "The Moon People 1". When they fought World War 1, they knew there was going to be another one and so they put that "1" after it in the titel. Then when World War 2 came along everyone was like "oh yeah, that makes sense, sure because this is the second one". They need to do the same thing with books.
Learn from HISTORY gentlemen and you will avoid penalty stars off on your review. A very solid effert worthy of FOUR STARS!!! Nice!
Moon People 2 is delivered with the same broad brush strokes as the first. The setting and events are presented to the reader in approximately precise terms. No other author is able to make 'perhaps' sound so definite. For example, we are shown a hangar door that "was 17 feet down and approximately 30 meters long". It is by using these clearly vague terms that Mr. Courtney expresses his trust in his readers; his confidence that you will understand the point without worrying about the details. By switching from Imperial to Metric measurements mid-sentence we see that neither matters and take away only the impression of size. "Intact", "in tact", or "in tacked", it does not matter as our grasp of the point remains intact.
The brush strokes of Mr. Courtney's writing paint a picture, and it's one that starts with his characters. The personal interactions of Captain/Commander David Braymer and his shipmates are the heart of the story. The joy and amazement they feel as they create a habitable ecosystem from the barren rock of Mars, or take delivery of amazing space ships from their friends the Powleens are obvious. In more subtle ways we are shown the importance of our characters social interactions. In every conversation we see every 'hello', every 'goodbye', every 'goodbye to you too' and every 'okay, see you', and every 'okay, thanks again', and every 'goodbye again'. Herein lies the true detail of Mr.Read more ›
