This book is precious to me. It speaks to the heart of mysticism and spiritual practice, while at the same time honoring the sacred in every day. I am often moved to tears even after going back to this book again and again. Sometimes our human experience is so beautiful it has the power to break our heart open. That heart opening gives the Light an opportunity to enter. This book broke my heart open. I bought the kindle version and the paperback- there are very few books where I have both! A testament to this beautiful work.

Yogacharya O'Brian's poetry touches my heart and leads me back to remembrance of who I am at the core of my being. Her words have inspired both laughter and tears. It touched me deeply to see the vulnerability of her sharing her deepest love for God and others. The images painted by her poetry embody and inspire a trust in the Oneness of all Beings. I have turned to The Moon Reminded Me already many times to find an image to share with others that invokes an understanding or feeling that goes beyond the casual expressions of ordinary speech. I recommend it very highly for both personal inspiration and as a reference for sharing with others.

The explanation to some of the spiritual terms used from Hindu and Sufi traditions makes it easy to follow while also learning the concepts from the yoga traditions followed by the respective cultures in their most authentic form.
