All the major cities are covered, albeit thinly, but interesting places in between are left out. There's summary discussion of important natural attractions such as Big Bend National Park and The Hill Country.
Listings of hotels and restaurants are selective, but the ones that are included are good.
Bottom line is this: What you get here is good, but the book really needs to be twice as large as it is. This is really a book for first-time visitors rather than locals or well-seasoned travelers.
I am giving this book a 4 star for thoroughness (covers most attractions) but only 3 stars for its starred review opinions.
