Enjoy this fascinating read, and give it to everyone you know who loves the moon. --Spirituality & Health Magazine
Moonwatcher's Companion is a great choice for a gift or for oneself, because human beings today are fascinated by the moon much as the ancients were. The solitary figure contemplating a huge crescent moon on the book's gorgeous, attention-grabbing cover could be any of us. I recommend Moonwatcher's Companion to people of any age who have a telescope or an interest in science or ceremony, or who simply want to increase awareness of their relationship to the moon. --New Age Retailer

That slivery splendour shining down at me, I have always wondered what is it made of. How was it formed? What does it look like up close? How big is it? How far is it?
Through the years, those questions have been answered, but that did not mean the moon still did not intrigue me. I have collected books on the subject of the Sky. However, thinking I had every book on the subject I was excited to come across this little gem.
This book is a charming collection of facts, poems of everything you ever wanted to know about the moon.
The Moon Watcher's companion has a comprehensive encyclopaedia of lunar terminology. A timeline of lunar explorations and three sections that detail the moon's faces, phases, and known facts.
This book has put together a wonderful blend of myth, folklore, poems. It is beautifully anchored by l interesting lunar science.
This book is necessary in any Pagan/Wiccan's library or anyone who wants a little knowledge of that splendour in the sky.
I give this books five stars.
I will say it is well written and has nice illustrations, but useless to me.
.Everybody I've turned on to her has fallen for her writings immediately. I use "Celestially Auspicious Occasions" as a reference book and I use it so often I've worn out many copies. And I've given so many away that I now keep an extra 3 or 4 copies on hand. I'll do the same with this book.
on the moon this book is for you. Has alot of poems
and stories of folklore on the moon (almost too much).
But, if you are wanting to get to know that big bright
light you see at night...this is the one for you.
Does not have a bunch of lingo or info that the norm
person wouldnt understand. Go for it--you won't regret!

Thus is "the" book on the moon, its lore, its facts and history. I started loving the moon at 13yrs old when I would sneek outside and take 'moon baths'. Read morePublished on April 7, 2013 by moonwoman
