Going off of the other positive reviews I jumped on these bags which are cheaper than Polaris. These bags have a critical flaw which makes then completely ineffective, no chamber in the bag to separate and hold debris. So when your Polaris stops after it's daily routine guess what happens? Everything falls right out the bottom. The fabric weave is certainly good quality and does indeed hold dirt but with no chambers I can't use these bags.

Since I am always on the lookout for bargains, these bags seemed like a great deal. Unfortunately, because the velcro is too narrow and is of poor quality, the bags do not stay closed. I had the same problem as another customer with debris falling out the bottom. Overall poor quality and design.

I bought these because they seemed like they would work just as well as the Polaris brand. It's been a month and they are working ok. However, as I was cleaning one of them, I guess I pulled a little too hard at the edge and the stitch came out completely. Looking closer, I don't think the stitching is tight enough. So, I'd recommend these, but just be careful opening and closing or you just might rip it!

May 2011:
Ok, update. As other reviewers have noted, there is a flaw in the design. I started to notice the pool wasn't as clean as it normally is. The debris IS falling out the bottom! Plus, stuff gets pushed out the velcro closures because it's not very tight. DO NOT buy these. Stick with the Polaris brand!

These sturdy bags from Moon Light Pool Supply work just fine with my Polaris 380 Poolsweep. The bags open and close via a long velcro strip along the end and part of one side; a seam partway across the lower bag creates a sort of chamber that helps to hold the debris collected inside the upper bag. I find that the bags do retain a large amount of debris (they can be packed quite full after a windy day) in contrast to complaints of other reviewers. Maybe they don't clean the velcro good enough?

With a 2-pack of these bags, you can just replace the dirty one while you clean the other. After shaking out larger debris (like leaves), I dunk the bag in a bucket of water and agitate/gently invert parts of the bag to get the finer stuff off (sand, dirt etc). It can take a little patience (and possibly even an old toothbrush) to get some of the grit out of the velcro strips so they'll close again, so that's where a bag with a zipper might be nicer. I clean any other finer stuff (like algae) off by soaking the bag overnight in a solution that contains some Oxyclean (rather than chlorine bleach).

Brought two of these and placed the first bag on the sweep in February. It just gave out with a large hole in the bag. I am going to replace that with the second bag but it seems that the material used isn't as good or as sturdy as the material used in the original Polaris bags. These are cheap but what good is cheap if you are replacing the bags three or four times in the same time period that one of the original bags would last?

The bags weren't the exact match to the original Polaris 360 pool vacuum bag but it serves the purpose. The bags are as described and pictured. It clicks on the vacuum like the original bag and stays put. The velcro opening goes around the corner (between top and back) compared to just the back opening in the original polaris bag.

Excellent cost effective replacement. This was a package of two for the price of one from my local pool store (which didn't have one in stock). I only used it for a couple of weeks and now the pool is closed for the winter. I believe these are a cost effective and quality replacement

I bought two of these to replace my trademark Polaris bags...because they were cheaper. These are NOT Polaris bags, they are made by the Moon Light company. The advertising is somewhat misleading. They would have you believe these these are Polaris...the first word in their advertising is "Polaris", not "Moon Light", so that should say something.

I have had numerous problems with these bags. -1. As noted by other users, the bags frequently floated to the top by trapping air. Both of mine did this. The bags would keep the Polaris there until I mashed the air out of the bags. -2. Whenever the pump turned off, the bags would dump out a handfull of debris into the pool in a long dirty trail. There is no partition inside the bag to block this discharge. -3. Within a few weeks of putting them into use, one or both of the attachment "ears" that hold the bag onto the debris nozzle broke off, leaving it useless, unless you want to tape it on. My experience: I will NOT buy these again.
