What a great addition to the blood curse chronicles!! James has once again written a beautiful novel, letting us as readers follow Christoph, Talia and others on another adventure. This time they’re going France, Paris.
The story starts with Christoph looking for a boat to get them to Paris, once they find a captain who is willing to sail them there, he is not all of what he seems. The first several *short* chapters, contain the journey of the boat, however it is action filled. As the main characters are Vampires, it’s nice to see James include a vampires acquaintance: a werewolf. But this is only the first part of the story! So, already within the first thirty pages, you know that this is going to be a complete page turner!
I love how the author comes up with original ideas that I don’t think you’d read anywhere else (for example because the vampires can’t get blood without being noticed, they have red pills that are a substitute for there food). Once again, James did a fantastic job on describing characters and I could really imagine the storyline in my head as I was reading!
So where does the book leave us? On a complete cliffhanger!! The ending leaves enough to show us readers that there is one more addition to the chronicles... and I am excited!! The authors writing has improved and is better than last (which I didn’t think was possible) and I can’t wait to see where the story leads us next...
