1.0 out of 5 stars For light duty use only
By Career sewer on December 30, 2019
I use aluminum push pins to attach patterns to a soft wood surface. I bought these to replace some old bent aluminum push pins that I have been using for over 20 years. These new pins are inferior. When I try to lightly hammer them in, the pin shaft snaps off the head. Over 50% of these pins broke off the first time I used them. If you are just pinning things to a soft surface by hand, these are OK, but for pinning anything more substantial, these are junk.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't use for Hat Blocking - rusted and bent
By penelope on March 4, 2020
For standard push pin use, these might be fine. They would look nice on a bulletin board. My low rating is simply for my ability to use them for my purposes and to get the attention of other Milliners. I use water and steam in my work and these rusted pretty quickly. I also have to hammer them into wood, which takes a pretty sturdy pin, and some of these bent. My use is obviously way more extreme and demand a strong durable rust-free pin, so this is just advice for those who need the same.
