As you may have guessed from the references to Shel Silverstein, "Mooseclumps" is an anthology of short silly poems. Most of the poems range from 5-15 lines and use an alternating rhyming scheme. The title poem "Mooseclumps" is probably my favorite, since it deals with a narcissistic grumpy cat... like our own family cat. My daughter enjoys listening to three or four poems at a time before we move on to our next book. I think that is probably the best way to enjoy "Mooseclumps" a few poems at a time... read laugh and save the rest for later.
The illustrations are pretty basic ink drawings (with some occasional color), again like Silverstein, with the goal of the illustrations there only to bring a little life to the poem.
Final Verdict - "Mooseclumps" is a fun and silly book of poems that will likely bring smiles to any child.
