In these difficult days when many of us question where our country is headed, this book gives us insight into what can happen when one man tries to take justice and control of the future into his own hands. Tragedy within his family pushes a hard working family man into places he had only imagined. What happens when his intent to make things better goes awry?
I loved the character development throughout this novel....the relationship between Jim and his wife, children, coworkers and even the mob characters. He describes so well the angst that any parent feels when his children are in trouble.
The use of science and computer technology intertwined with organized crime made this a pager turner for me. And a must read for this year!
This book will pull from the reader every emotion that exists, even those that have lain dormant for many years. The reader will find themselves asking why? ... cheering Jim O'Brien on in his efforts...and yet wanting desperately to cry out ENOUGH...STOP...while yet engrossed in breath holding anticipation of what the next chapter will bring.
A book that should be accompanied by a bottle of fine wine and a box of tissues;thought provoking, morally challenging, emotionally charged, action packed, and very close to home.
