Editorial Reviews

Primarily drawn once again from the early recordings of Modern Records, and supplemented with a generous portion of un-reissued and unheard masters from the Sensation catalogue, this CD once again focuses firmly on early post-WWII Rhythm & Blues. It's solid mix of boogies, blues, jumping jive and small group instrumentals will be enough to keep even the hardest to please R&B fan deliriously happy! These 24 tracks have also been beautifully re-mastered from original acetate sources, and not one of the tracks featured has ever appeared on a previous Ace LP or CD. 2005.
