As a reader who struggles spiritually, I can't praise this woman's journey enough! Alicia has inspired me and shown me a direction I couldn't find on my own.
Thank you Alicia for being real, genuine and soulful.

Always loved her music and when I was younger, she inspired me in some ways.
But lately, she's been more holistic and in the past few years I've fallen for her again. So I bought her book through lockdown, and I'm slowly reading through it as it's easy to pick up and put down not because it doesn't engage, but because it engages on a level that requires self reflection, to truly digest. For myself anyway.
So much resonates, and the raw honesty is beautiful.
I don't leave reviews, but she deserves this at the very least, for writing so honestly.
I wasn’t expecting a warts-and-all book, as I know that’s not who Alicia is and I know she’s guarded and at times very private, but it would have been nice to see why she made the choices she made when she was younger so we have an idea of who she is today. As the saying goes, you are who you are and you were who you were and you should be proud of both of those people.
Alicia is very similar to myself (raised by a single Mother, having a love and appreciation for Hip-Hop, “Ghetto-Hippy” (as she brands the way she dresses), very simple person, shows a love and appreciation for art and this book just made me love her more as she inspired me in the choices I make with my life from here on.
Love you Alicia. Like I’m 100, I will STILL be singing your songs and appreciating you for the incredible human being you are.
