I recommend this book to anyone who wants to take their podcasting skills up a bit, I am certain you won't regret it. His website was a great resource too.
Tim Town, host of DebtTalkRadio and TheBIZRoom Podcast Show·
I am no spring chicken with this topic. The most I made at my peak podcasting was probably around 3 grand in a month from advertiser revenue.
Generally, this is a good book. My concern is that the author shoots himself in the foot by offering no technical advice. I know he says it's about making money with podcasting, but if you take someone who knows nothing about podcasting, I don't see how they can get to the money step without some instruction about how to podcast. How to podcast is not common knowledge, nor is it complicated so I don't think it would hurt to talk about it here in some depth.
I would target both people who don't know about how to podcast and people who already have headway into that area and want to start making money.
Otherwise this is a quality and informative offering. He also has several podcasts to go along with the purchase of the writing which add an additional educational value.
I also saw online how this author literally discloses his online income from all the various sources which is cool. This gives a real feeling of authenticity.
I also bought this because I wanted to investigate how this topic sells as an ebook. I don't think the author has made a fortune with this book. I was very interested to see just how well this offering did on Amazon because I thought about authoring something similar. Still, I am not sure that there is huge potential there to make good income writing about this topic(kudos for trying).
I will say that unlike many ebooks on Amazon, the author took care to write this and that it is a professional offering. It's a worthwhile purchase for those who want more information about how to make money podcasting.
