Nothing is sacred. The author pays homage to his early career in northern syndicated crime with a twist on not-drug drugs. He positively revels in marvellously mangling the laws of physics, just in order to present us with a side-dish of student schadenfreude (oh boy, did I ever giggle at that one). He dabbles in a dangerous dalliance with existential causality-loops (I too find it difficult to get dressed some days, and avoid anything fastening with causality-loops, preferring zips or Velcro), and he finishes his readers off with Emergency Ward 10 meets E.T. somewhere within fashionable small-hatchback driving distance of Broken Back Mountain (if you’ll excuse me correcting Hollywood’s grammar).
All change, no change, plus ca change plus c’est la meme wotsit from the earlier mini-collection of Skiffies then, and I like it, I like it a lot.
As ever, the language is done proper, there ain’t really no swearing much and the formatting of this electric book is without fualt [sic, of course]. I would commend this book to the masses, were I to know any of the masses socially. Splendid.
