About the Author

Cardeno C.—CC to friends—is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few awwws into a reader’s day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno’s stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever-after sunset.

Easily got drawn in by the writing. Interesting premise but as always the problem lies in the quick resolution of the conflict. Was such a good build up too. However charlie lost his spine and ended up falling back into love so quickly with both. I love my happy endings but with such a weak struggle... Just so sad.

It feels like the middle was rushed. Try reading aidan and ethan by cameron dane to see what i mean. Cardeno C is still an awesome writer. Just wish charlie held out more and drew out the drama longer.

I found this book a gentle and romantic MMM story that was not all about the sex. So if you like your MMM less about three bodies working together and three people coming together in a relationship you may like this story.

I liked this story just fine BUT I had a couple of issues with it that ultimately made me give it a lower rating that would have. Just a quick recap of the story. The story is told from all three MCs POV at different points in time, although Charlie (Chase) serves as the narrator. The story starts with Charlie being 15-16 yo. and meeting Scott who moves in next door and becomes his first love. Charlie and Scott are together for what's probably about 4 years until Scott moves to Las Vegas and leaves Charlie behind. Then about 5 years pass until Charlie (then going by Chase) meets Adan. Adan's and Charlie's bit is told by both Adan and Charlie. These two date for what's almost a year. Then 10 years or so pass until all three meet again. The last third of the story is told by Charlie and Scott.

OK. so what I didn't like about this story happened on that last second third or when the MMM begins (the next bit is spoilerish so be warned!):

First, I found utter crap one of the reasons why Adan and Scott decide to go for Charlie and that is because they are both tops and they "need" a bottom. Sure, Adan and Scott love each other and have been together for five years but their "problem" is that they are not 100% compatible in the bedroom because they are both tops. So what does that mean? are they both settling? Call me crazy but dissatisfaction in the bedroom is a sure way to head to splitsville.

Let me kick this review off by getting this out: Oh myyyyy! (Said in my best George Takei voice ever). First off, I’d like to give a nod to Reese Dante for the cover. Dante is an artistic genius; the cover is beautiful. Okay, let’s get right to it. As with all of this author’s work, you are captivated from the first word to the last. What I especially love about this author is that you simply do not read about men who meet, fall in love and live HEA. So needless to say that you will not read about three men who enter into their relationship straight away. In order for you to understand where they are now, you have to understand the circumstances that gets them there. So, this story is told over a fifteen year timeframe and is told from all three men’s POV starting with Charlie’s. The way CC was able to set the stage for the story to be told was brilliant for they’re not simply telling it. Let me explain. Charlie guides us through this journey by way of a photo album where every picture in the album has a story behind it. You can almost visualize him sitting on a couch, lifting each photo, and telling us the story to each one. You want to know the best part of the book? The characters are talking directly to you, the reader. That was absolutely brilliant. This story will pull so many emotions from you; heartache, happiness, triumph, loss; you go through and feel them all with Charlie or Chase as it was. You will absolutely adore these characters, but not all of them and certainly, not right away. Charlie is sassy, funny, caring, strong and brave. He’s not afraid to be himself; you take him as he is, or keep it moving. This little guy (and he’s just shy of 5 feet, so I mean that literally), has the heart of a lion.Read more ›

The moment Chase laid eyes on Scott he knew that he was doomed. What developed between them was a friendship based on mutual loyalty, honesty and caring. Their bond developed until one day it became more. Young, care-free and in love, Chase never thought that one day he would have to live without his best-friend and true love. When that day came, his world was turned upside down and his view of life changed.

No longer the care-free young man of his teenage years, Chase made a life for himself doing what he loved. He had his hook ups, but never something as deep as the relationship he once shared with Scott. Then in walked Adan. A closed-off, arrogant handsome man, Adan pushed every one of Chase's buttons. But there was something in the way the man carried himself that made Chase curious until he found himself wondering if this new found connection could lead somewhere. But Adan was living buried in a closet full of denial and fear, leaving Charlie with a broken heart.

Never one to see the glass as half empty, Charlie made the most out of his life until fate came calling and he reunited with the men that broke his heart.

What followed was a story of healing, letting go and learning to trust once again.

I loved Chase! He was adorably, sweet, quirky and a hell of all lot of fun. He was honest, emotional and completely in love with Scott. Awww, it was so sweet to see him all flustered whenever Scott was around. Likewise, it was heart-wrenching to see how losing Scott hurt him.

By bringing in Adan, I felt a bit if hope that Chase would find his happily ever after. Although the man was irritating, withdrawn and stubborn to a fault, Cardeno made sure I understood where he was coming from. He was more than confused.
