When I found out More Than Forever would be Cam and Lucy's, I was excited and hoping we would get more drunk Lucy. This book proved just how strong Lucy is, she doesn't need to be drunk Lucy to tell you how it is and stand up for herself.
I didn't know what to except with Cam and Lucy's story, I had misconceptions that their relationship was all sweet and no work. I started writing a list a things that I was wrong about with Cam and Lucy and I fully intended to share it as part of my review but then I thought that it may contain spoilers and I don't want to ruin it for anyone. There is a lot more going on in their lives and between them then I had realized. I enjoyed reading about their struggles and triumphs.
There were a few moments where I found myself laughing out loud, I was just glad no one was around so I didn't have to explain why. Penisgate was a very funny part but the funniest part was Vaginagate. I don't think I have ever heard of some many different names to call a vagina. There also a great scene where they relive Operation Mayhem.
I loved the ending, it was perfect. I can't wait to read more of the More series.
I love when a story takes you on a journey. A journey of loss, pain, healing, finding love, doubting yourself and your passion, realizing that life isn't perfect and it won't always be easy. It' real and raw and emotional. It is Jay McLean magic at its finest. I don't think a book can get more perfect than More Than Forever.
This book was supposed to be about love that will continue on into the FOREVER. But that shit is for the fairy tales. This book, gawd, this book was a roller coaster full of ups and downs. I cried so hard I wanted to vomit. I felt emotion, every ounce of pain. I laid in bed, crying my eyes out, into the early hours of the morning. I couldn't stop, even though the pain was so unbearable at times, I couldn't STOP.
There was laughter, there was perma smiles, there was WTF why would you do that? Why would HE do that? Why would SHE do that? I just couldn't understand how a love like theirs, a pure unconditional, knock you off your socks kind of love, has to be tested?
Their love started off as young love and what young love lasts? LUCA love last. IT HAS TOO. If their love can't survive the test of time, then what love can?
It's not just a story or words on paper. The words become wrapped around your heart, your soul and your very being. They course through your veins and become the reason you breath. That is the only way to really read this book.Read more ›
I knew Cam and Lucy from the prior books but nothing prepared me for their story. I cried, I laughed, I cried again. I may have left my kindle a couple of times for a few seconds just because I didn't know if I could read the next paragraph.
Cam is an awesome guy. He was there for Lucy from the very beginning. It just took one look at Lucy for him to know he wanted More. She was it for him. Even at fifteen he was very more mature for his age. He and Lucy took responsibilities neither of them should have needed to have.
Getting to know Lucy at fifteen when her world was falling apart was devastating. I hurt for Lucy.
My idea of Lucy from prior books was of a funny girl, a bookworm, and who doesn't love Drunk Lucy? But this Lucy is completely different. It was an emotional roller coaster for me.
I'm so happy Lucy met Cam when she did. I believe he saved her when she needed saving.
I also love the parent figures in this book as much as I did in prior novels. I'm adding Cam's mom and her boyfriend to my list of favorite parents. Tom, Lucy's dad made a huge mistake but by the end I loved him too.
I think he and Logan's dad need a second chance in love. They are too nice not to have a chance to love again.
Thank you Jay for the opportunity to read this beautiful story.
I laughed and cried so many times for my Team Luca. I can simply say this book was true perfection. Lucy and Cam were so real. I felt heartbreak, pain and true love throughout this book.
We've always known Lucy and Cam as the fun, crazy, care-free couple from the past books (we all love Drunk Lucy!), but these two were so much more than that.
Lucy's story is heartbreaking, knowing how her family (particularly her dad) fell apart after the death of their mother. Lucy became empty and just took care of her family. That's until Cameron came over to help, and for no reason at all--well he had a reason--Lucy. And Cam...what a perfect guy. He was raised right by his mom and his mom's boyfriend--I loved his family dynamics.
Cam and Lucy's story of falling in love at the age of fifteen is the ultimate romantic story ever. Cam made Lucy better; he made her laugh, helped take care of her brothers and more importantly he made her fall in love. Reading how these two grew up throughout high school and on to college was amazing. Again, not all love is forever and Lucy and Cam were no exception--it was their own forever. Their love and relationship wasn't always perfect in this book, but it was real.
I can't tell you how much I adored Lucy and Cam. And I'm going to say it...and I feel like I'm betraying my Logan and Amanda, but Cam and Lucy's story is the best one in this amazing, amazing, amazing series! This will be my forever go-to-re-read! Thank you Jay for bringing these two to life!
