From the Author
Writing at night, I drummed out Morgan, printed her out, and sent her off to a New York agent. That was back in the day when agents still took mostly written manuscripts. I had researched my agent well and knew he had a fondness for rare bottle caps. So I included a bribe of some of our Singaporean bottle caps.
The agent liked the bottle caps, but not Morgan enough to take her on. So I self-published. This was back in the day of publishing written books, so long ago now. I paid $800 for one hundred copies, most of which still reside in my basement. It wasn't that Morgan wasn't a great book, it was that I was busy going to medical school and had no time for her.
Morgan didn't show up again until I did a short story called Two Pennies for my local library. The children wanted more from me, and I brought back Morgan for their reading pleasure. So here is Morgan, in all her stubborn, foolishly powerful glory. In my own stubborn, foolishly arrogance I mapped out twelve books for this series, each one self-contained. They follow Morgan through a series of worlds to adulthood.
