I've tried so many different kinds of hoops for punch needle embroidery and these are hands down the very best to use if you want your work portable and kept taught. Exactly what you want for punch needling. I now have bought them from 5" all the way up to 17" and use them all. So, unless you really want a large wood frame, invest your hard earned $$$ in a Morgan Hoop. You will never regret it.

I have the 12", 10" and 9" hoops. Having purchased a lot of different makes of hoops (and all a waste of money) I can honestly say these are the very best hoops available. If you like your embroidery or cross stitch tight as a drum then these hoops are for you. And they don't need constantly tightening as other hoops do. My only slight niggle is that I wish they came in a nicer colour. Pastel or bright would be much better than the dull 'beige-ish' colour they are now in.
