A versatile plate

I like that this plate allows me to quickly switch from a tripod to a black rapid strap. The build quality is very good, and I see no reason to doubt it's strength. One problem is that that the folding loop is off center from the 1/4-20 tripod bolt, which causes the entire plate to rotate when using with a black rapid strap. After an hour or so of walking around, the plate slips and rotates a few degrees. I usually go for an L bracket now.

Unwilling to trust this on a DX size camera, I mounted it on a Nikon J5. I keep the rig secured to my belt with a carabiner, for which it is useful beyond words, so I ordered another for my second J5. This is obviously a copy of the much pricier American product, but it is of such high quality that I have no concerns nor any residual interest in the original. I`m a happy man.

These looked like exactly what I needed, and for about 3 seconds they worked exactly as expected. I shoot sports and I wear a double sling for two camera bodies. I was hoping for something to go between sling and monopod quickly. No matter how tight I made the screw connection with the weight of the camera on the sling it twisted on the bottom of the camera.

Holy cow. I never knew I needed this until I came across it on here. I use a sling system for my camera and having the tripod plate a couple inches lower than the actual body because of the sling attachment plate was driving me nuts. This little guy is solid, it's well built, and it does its job incredibly well. If you use a sling system for your camera, do yourself a favor and grab this!

I had looked for something like this for a long time. I use it with my dslr, hand/wrist strap, ext. battery pack and shoulder sling, with the option for a quick mount to my tripod. Try doing all that without disconnecting something to accommodate another. Exstatic after I feild tested it and I plan to buy one for every camera I have.

Almost great but JUST HORRIBLE!!!!!

This plate has the makings to be amazing but the details just are not there. The plate will not stay screwed onto the camera no matter how wrenched I get it. Which led to my camera dropping and cracking the back screen so spending $18 on this plate coast me another $518. The loop is a nice touch but needs to be just a bit wider (would be great to sling a climbing grade carabiner through it). Also the plate does not lock into the arca head I have. But again if the plate doesn't stay attached to the camera the whole thing is pointless.

Great way to secure heavier lenses, but remember that the weight will not be centered on the ring, so fasten it well. Very well made and not just a hinge. Ball bearings lock it into place.
