You can make your codes as simple or complex as you want, you can set up multiple codes, and you can remove codes. It comes with two keys, so you can still get in if your battery goes dead, or if you have one of your family members who just prefers keys.
We are currently having the house worked on and will be assigning the painter handyman his own number, then deleting it when he is done.
It is nice that you can just set it to "lock" behind you. The best part is if you already have the car running, you don't have to turn the car off to run up to the door and open it WHEN (not if) you leave something behind.
Once we get our daughter moved into her home, we will be changing OUR lock to include this new number system - then if we decide she is an annoying brat, we can just delete her number. (Just kidding - but it makes a nice threat for a teen who has a curfew.)
It is very easy to use, there is a lock buttoon for when you want to lock it on the way out, and there is the typical turning knob on the inside. To unlock it from the outside, you have the choice of using the key or punching the code and then hit the unlock button. I really like it, and would recommend it.

Feels more solid when compared to my Schlage used on a different door, which is sold at almost double the cost. Would buy this again as it is good quality and price. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Jeanette Pace
