Perfect for my use - installing reverse cameras

I bought these to help me during my installation of reverse cameras in our cars. I needed to splice into the reverse lights for the camera and for that purpose, these were super helpful. I use a pair of pliers to close them and haven't had a problem yet. I have similar 'quick splice' connectors already on my car for reverse sensors installed ages ago and haven't had a problem, so I don't anticipate a problem with these either. I know that splicing into wires and doing everything by hand is the best but one of the cars I was working on is rather new so I decided to just use this.

Pretty Good Splice Connector For The Money

Worked VERY well on the lighter 22 AWG wire, had some bending of the metal securing tab when dealing with heavier gauge 20 AWG wire.
You MUST use pliers directly on the metal tab to secure the wires, then close the plastic cover over the recessed/inserted metal tab. DO NOT attempt to insert the metal tab onto the wires by placing the plastic cover case over the metal tab and squeezing them both over the wires at the same time with pliers. Would buy again for the price.

Don't cut through wire well

They don't cut through wire very well. I tried to cut through two wires, one that fit in the holes and one that just barely fit (large but in the proper range) and neither were cut through even when squeezing with pliers. Tried multiple splices.

I normally do not use spice connectors, but was working on a NEW truck and did not want to cut into the wiring harness and wanted something temporary. Using these worked fine. Delivered ASAP too! Just make sure you use the correct size for the wire your tapping into. If you plan on leaving them in place, use a little cable tie to hold it together.
