More About the Author
Biography

Born in 1974, Jaysen True Blood is just one in a long line of storytellers on BOTH sides of his family. His mother, once a migrant worker and ranch hand, often tells of her life in the fields and on ranches. His late father would tell of his life in rural Iowa and those he knew. He would also recount the stories told by Jay's grandfather about life during WWI and as a journeyman carpenter throughout the US as well as stories Jay's late grandmother would tel of her life and the people she knew.

Jay's grandma Bartlett also loved to tell stories of life when she was young. And music was never far behind. through his two grandmas, his grandpa Sparks (his mother's dad) and his mother, Jay also inherited the love of music.

As a young boy, Jay read such authors as Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Zane Grey, and Robert Lynn Asprin. Contemporary authors, such as Louis L'Amour, Terry Brooks, Piers Anthony, Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov, and Alan Dean Foster-not to mention Anne Rice--would later also be a part of his main reading. and all would help him hone his own skills as a writer.

Jay wrote his first story at the age of eight or nine as a fourth grade assignment. This Story will be included in his next collection to show his readers just how far he has come as a writer.

Jay Lives in the Midwest and is a full time writer, musician and actor.
