The idea of each character having up to 3 combat styles makes the game more diverse and can add a bit more of strategy when fighthing, just like the 2 extra games.
The final boss in the arcade is incredibly tough, but it has a fighthing pattern, once you realize that you can beat him.
The Konquest game used it to unlock characters and other stuff is well done, not my favorite way to unlock stuff but it is well done.
The online fighting, the main reason I bough the game works -ok-, I think the guys at Gamespy should improve their bandwidth since I got a good conection and sometimes I get poor performance fithing online and I'm talking fighting against people with more than 3 stars whihc means that they're supose to have good connections.
It has been a while since I have played a fighter that would demand so much of my time, I imagine myself spending the next couple of weeks trying to unlock all the characters and costumes. The puzzle game and kombat chess were both pluses to me and are great for when you want to burn an afternoon with a buddy.
Growing up I didnt have much of a interest in Mortal Kombat because I felt it was un-necessarily violent. Now I thoroughly enjoy the salty look on my friends faces when I kick them off the stage to a grusome death.
I decided to go with this particular Mortal Kombat title due to the outstanding reviews on Metacritic.
All in all, worth my money.
Would recommend for any fighting game fan.
Enjoy the game and keep buying games from amazon, remember there is no difference if you buy it new or used if the CD is clean and the game is working, also you can clean the Cd with some special material in case you had any issue but to be honest I never had any issue with this game
I felt the overwhelming need to punch such "quest" characters in the head after a while, which graciously, the game allows. Cathartic yes, but somewhat unproductive if you're trying to unlock features.
Maybe it got better eventually, but I gave up on Konquest mode, enjoyed some Arcade matches with the characters that were available to me from the start, and then went back to Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. I'll still play this one occasionally, as the actual arcade (vintage MK) fighting is as much fun as ever - with several nice features (three fighting styles per player, full 3D SoulCaliber style open arena fighting) - but Virtua Fighter 4 Evo is a lot more fun overall.
